Hiya everyone!! How are we all doing today/this week? I thought today we focus mindfulness around ANIMALS Did you know animals bring alot of comfort and love to us? We do care for them and also practice mindfulness too. How? Well do you notice how it feels to pet a dog or cat? The smells of a farm animal? Or how you feel when an animals lays by you? This also is "being mindful"
So today, who has animals? What do you have? How do you practice mindfulness with your pet? If you have no pets that is ok What is something you like to have? Please share whatever here as we all can "aaawwwwww" together

@RumpleSteeleSkin Hello hello I have a lovely soft fluffy old dog who shares my bed and has recently collected some flea friends to join too, though I don't welcome them as much as I do her...I guess some mindfulness goes on as well when she takes me on adventures in the woods finding all sorts of strange places, and then maybe a little afterwards showering her and having to tease all the dirt and knots out of her coat

Wow that is wonderful on the you and your dogs adventures in the woods. I love to take my dogs on a trail by my house and let them run around. Im glad you have your best friend that helps you with mindfulness.

Thank you for your check-in, Rumple! I have a dog, and you make a really good point that I can be mindful when I am interacting with her. When I play with her, I am mindful of how she races off and how fast she is; how her little tail wags; I notice the sound of her squeeky toys. When I am petting her, I notice her colors; her soft fur; the way she plops on her side for a belly rub.
And, sometimes, I remember how lucky I am to have her, and so I bring in some gratitude to my mindfulness practice.

Hiya Emunah glad to see ya in check-in I so love the goat pic-lol haha I so wonder where the dogs get all that energy and runs around the house you know aawww "belly rubs" Im so glad that you have your dog and notice all the mindfulness stuff you can be aware of just with your dog!

This is all my kids!! I love them more than life itself. They know when I feel sad, happy, angry and they will always come and cheer me up if I am sad. It really helps me relax when I am angry to have them around me and to feel them breathing when I put my hand on their body. They also bring me sticks, stones and everything else they can find when they want to play and that is the time I always realize how lucky I am to have them in my life.

Hiya Mango good you are in check-inomg I love all your "fury" kids. Yes you are very lucky to have 4 of them and to have them help you feel better. You are doing and being mindful when you pet them and notice their breathing and stuff. Good job!! And thank you for sharing this picture they are so gorgeous
@RumpleSteeleSkin My family have 11 shih tzu dogs here but I only closed with 3 of them as they're the youngest ones. These 3 names are Loli, Kitkat, and Estee. I like to carry them and hold them and they're so playful. I can feel their weight and their fur are so soft especially after they're having a shower. They looked like a walking pillows after a shower lol. Kitkat like to hide under the fridge after a shower, and Loli just like to get attention like usual, while Estee is being very hyped whenever after shower. She will rush into my bedroom and climb to the bed and jumping around lol :D

Wow 11 shih tzu dogs That is many little fury babies to have around you! aawww well give Loli, Kitkat and Estee a big hug for me since those are the youngest ones. I hear you being mindful with these dogs the way you share and describe the 3. Shower time with my dogs is a chore. They smell very stinkie when they get wet, and shake-shake all over. And if I forget to close the bathroom door- they will run around the house all soapy

@RumpleSteeleSkin Awww thank you They are happily got your big hugs. Yeesss they all cute and has their own character. They like to bark and all come to me at once when I just came from long vacations or when I'm away from home for days. And yes I can relate showering time is a hard work cause some of them are "too cheerful" Some will be happily get a shower, some will be calmly get a shower, and some others will be fussy which mean there will be marathon and "hide and seek" between us Send my greeting to your dog rumple I realy love dogs and sometimes I talk to them, it's one of my mood booster lol

At my college I got approved for a pet for my anxiety. I bought a bearded dragon (lizard) and I love petting him. He clings to my hands and it let's me know at least someone cares! Not much affection in my life so I will take what I can get!

Hi Fighter so good to see here in check-in Bearded dragons are so cuddly and almost like a puppy to some exent. I too have a companion a jack russel terrior mix for when I had very bad depression and isolation. I'm so happy to hear you got approved for a pet to give you some attention as well as offer them some of your love and kindness

oh that's awesome! I wanted a dog or a cat but they are way more work and way more expensive. Wasn't worth it for me! How have you been doing?

Fighter I do love all check-in sharings or anything people share here. It is why I persued this cause I have a passion to help people. And it's ok if you don't share at the postings. When you do that is awesome We are working on some that are not so deep but quick for many here. But sometimes it's hard. Yes dogs/cats are alot of work. And can get expensive as well unless you have a budget

I like reading the check-ins to see what they are talking about. The problem is I get so busy that I don't see it for a week and then I feel awkward responding at that point. Keep up the great work though!

in my homecountry i had 2 dogs, a smaller one (male very smart) who was ruling the big one, a German shephard. When the smaller one got into trouble, he always called the big one for help, but when they got bones, he put his bone away and stole the bone from the shephard - not so nice, the big one never bit him but asked me for help. they died because of age. now i have my wild lizards and the dove in the morning and occasionally the monkeys stealing my fruit. i find animals need to be part of our life, animals and human animals.

Hiya Peace good to see you haha on the one dog hiding his bone and eating up the other one's. lol My dogs do that too so I gotta watch them as they love burying things in the couch I'm sorry to hear they passed, but good that you had them in your life and they most likely new they were Oh wow on the wild lizards. I want one but they are so expensive for set-up and monthly food. Doves are cool we had them here as pets but I felt guilty having them in a cage so I set them free with other doves like them. I also agree with you on animals being a very important part of our lives. They help with moods, health, companionship and more. I don't know what it is like to not have an animal in my home.

Rumple, that monkey will be really frustrated after a while, i can't but laugh about it but also i really feel sorry for the poor guy. i guess just watching the banana mindfully, admiring the shape, the size and the colour will not be enough for the guy. i think my dogs had a good life and the dove and the lizards are fine too, having a natural life, just being wild animals.
