Mindfulness Daily Check-in June 08

Good morning community,
I hope you're doing well. Your mindfulness practice going wonderful.
Most of us follow, "Go, Go!". If you're also one, then you're not alone. Welcome to the Go Go Club.
Our schedules are filled with so many agendas that some times we avoid or ignore the signals our body sending to mind.
For instance, tiredness, exhaustion, headaches, frustration, irritation etc.
They send us the message that we need to slow down and take some care of ourselves.
If you ignoring these signals, it means you lack self-awareness. Ignoring them might lead to some bigger health concerns in future? So, we need to stop and pay attention and understand our body needs.
As it is summer in most of the places, here are certain things you can do to keep yourself mindfully healthy.
Stay Hydrated. Dry lips, mouth and skin are signals of dehydration. Dehydration isn't good for health especially for children and elderly. Staying hydrated could help us to prevent many serious health issues. It will also helps one to stay active and fresh. So, ensure that you taking enough liquid food to keep your mind and body hydrated.
Comfortable outfits. During hot days or any season, it is always better to have comfortable outfits as per body needs. If you are fashion person, then also your body needs come first before showing yourself stylish.Understand your body needs and select the outfits accordingly. Like, loose and comfortable clothes in hot days could be preferable than skin tight outfits.
Headaches, fatigues or other body signals shouldn't be ignored. If you've headache, pay attention and take care of it. An unattended headaches may at times lead to deeper medical conditions.
Generally, the more self-aware we're, the earlier we can seek help and do the needful for our body and mind to stay healthy. So, next time you notice a minor signal even, do not leave it unattended.

Great and thoughtful post, Obs.
I'd like to add Take Breaks. Staying shoulder to the wheel isn't good, even if there is an impending deadline looming. Most employers don't care you are giving up your breaks for their benefit. Stop, check your posture. Are you slumping? Are your shoulders at your ears? Are you fidgeting to burn the nervous energy?
Then its time to stand up, take a break, and reset the system. Go to the RESTroom. Splash water on your face. Yawn once or twice (relaxing those clinched jaw muscles and maybe a frown) and stretch your arms then take some deep breathe. Stand tip-toed, then stand on heel - stretching the muscles in your legs. Scan your body again and reset your posture - you're undoing the body origami you subconscienciously underwent. Grab some water. Then set your mind on what the next step is and slowly return your desk/position - don't rush and set the wrong pace to resume work, slow and with purpose.
Don't feel guilty for taking breaks. You are helping yourself and your productivity in the long run.

Hiya "baby obs" this is a great post reminder to us all
As most of our lives are very busy- like when was the last time we took a slow relaxing shower and just enjoyed the shower without rehashing what we have to do that day
I know for me my body does rebel and it's then most of the time Im on burn out-yes even me gets burnt out. Last month I've noticed I had to have a cut off limit to how many hours I work a week. This has helped so much. Also my vacation is coming up in 4 days. So this will refill me. Yes limiting my time on here but I have to run my teams and be here for them
@ASilentObserver Hi Obs!
How are you? I hope you are having a wonderful Friday!

I really love this topic as I struggle with this often. I often feel fatigued, exhausted, and struggling with a headache as I am rarely able to rest or sleep properly due to my schedule. It is difficult to take care of myself properly, but I feel more encouraged to do so after reading this post.
@ASilentObserver these are great ideas. I took a drink of water and instantly feel better. Thanks
