Yay!! Mindful March arrived!! smiley

Good morning Amazing Community!! Today is March 03 i.e. Stay fully present!

‘Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet. -Thich Nhat Hahn

Most of us experience a stressful day everyday due to one or other reasons. But, with the practice of being present can change your life for better. Its just Simple!!

During discussions, small talks, meetings, I ask, " What made your day stressful?" Some of the responses were like

--- I distracted by social media notifications. (Recieved this from my trainees during training)

--- I had a fight with my wife on kid's issue. (Our manager shared during a presentation)

--- Too many things for me all at once.

And so on! So, it clearly reflects our lives simply filled with problems whether it is tiny one or a huge. So, how could we solve this problem?

Could it be solved by the technique of being fully present? Let's discuss!!

When you closely look at these problems, you will find everything in mind. Agree that external forces are there that are not in our control but probably we could try to manage our internal forces. At least! If you are fully present in this moment, then you could deal with this external force effectively. Because only that force and you are involved in this moment. Being present becomes a way to handle any concern, any distraction, any stressor or any issue in a better way. It allows everything else to fade away.

Being present is simple but practice is what matters the most!!

That's why most of us even if willing to be present, not feels present beause practice isn't there. Practice, practice and practice regularly and being present in this moment becomes easier. A simple hack to master this skill.

Here's how to do it?

If you're in a training session, try to focus all the thoughts, body actions completely on it. Engage yourself on the topic getting discussed in the training with trainer and fellow mates. Pay attention!!

Do it once, do it again and repeat. Got distracted? As soon as you realized it, focus again. Things will get better and you will be able to stay present in this moment. Practice it in small easy steps. Each small efforts will be counted in developing this skill effectively.

Live the actual moment.Only this moment is life.

Please do share what are your thoughts on it?

Good advice. Training my mind not to keep going over the same negative thought does take practice, which I work on all the time. Sometimes I am more successful than other times. Letting your mind concentrate on a single positive thought or what you are doing now is helpful I like to do this when walking in a peaceful place or to recall a more peaceful place.

@sail46

Glad to have you here today Sail. Agree with your thoughts. It takes training to mind. Sometimes we are more successful in keeping away from negative thoughts and sometimes not that much. But, keep trying is the key to train mind and master this skill of fully present in now. We appreciate your efforts. Keep it up. Hugs <3

Hi, checking in :) Today has been a day full of distractions! I am trying to write down the things whirring round my mind and see what they all really are, I am a multi tasker - I work better on the go and so my mindful moments are crucial to keeping me organised and focused.

Have a great weekend everyone!

HIya Silent thanks for this check insmileyAnd I was being distracted as I was reading this. Thinking that I needed to get the laundry going or else others will want to wash toosurpriseYes even my little brain wonders. But its good to train our minds to stay focused, but also not to judge when it happens. Just kindly grab it back-and bring it to what you are doingcheeky

@ASilentObserver Hi Obs! :) This is a great post! You are absolutely right! Being present in the moment helps us to better handle and give attention to the current issue and/or task at hand. Distancing and disconnecting yourself from distractions, such as keeping your phone's ringer off, keeping the television off, and not being around anyone else, can help you focus more easily. Also, if there is noise around, what I do is wear headphones with music that would encourage me to focus and work hard rather than become distracted.

@ASilentObserver Please do share what are your thoughts on it?

I feel that staying focused on the discussion and not having side conversations can strengthen the conversation for all. It is a big help to the host not to have scattered responses but to have them focused on the subject of the discussion.

@RumpleSteeleSkin Here is the part of the post I was replying to

"

So there is no issue just a hypothetical response. I am sorry if I led anyone to believe there is a problem.

Mindfulness is something I truly struggle with. I even became distracted while reading the thread surprise Fortunately, one small thing that has made a big difference is using the DND feature of the phone. It is such a helpful way to block out phone related distractions and be more present smiley

Glad you mentioned practice. I rarely myself in the moment and instead worry about the future and past. I can't just try to stay in the present once in a while! Practice makes perfect, even when working on your mind.
