Setting Intentions
What does it mean to set an intention?
To me, an intention is a goal. It can be specific or broad. Everyday, you can set an intention for your day, for your year, for your life, for your community, for your family, for the world...etc. Say it softly to yourself and really think and believe in that intention. It can be a very empowering daily practice that I'd love for us to try as a community!
In this thread, lets set our intentions! Here are a few written by a community of intenders. You can follow them on twitter here!
I Intend that I am bringing people together whenever I can.
I Intend that I am catching myself before expressing my next negative emotion and that I am acting out of love instead.
I Intend that I am learning to observe my surroundings without judging.
I intend that I am at peace within myself.
I intend that I am putting putting my imagination to it's best use by holding a vision of my ideal outcome.
I intend that I am looking within to see what would give me the most joy, and then I am consciously creating it.
I intend that everything needing to be known is known here today; that all of my words are clear, precise, uplifting, helpful, and fun; that each and everyone of us here is guided, guarded, and protected throughout this entire experience; and that everything we say and do here today serves the highest and best good of the Universe, ourselves, and everyone everywhere. And so be it and so it is!
I intend that I am living in grace and gratitude.
I Intend that I am more willing to consider the needs of those around me.
What are your intentions?
I intend to help people, I intend to get all of my homework done when I get home so I can stress less later, I intend to make 2 friends by the end of the school year, and I intend to start being nice to myself and not just everyone else.
I intend to start taking care of myself. To start working through all the things that have piled up over the past two years and weigh on my soul. To work through the dark places and towards the light.
I intend not to trust people as much as I do. People aren't there when I need them. Will go it alone.
I Intend to start putting myself first. I've realized that I always put taking care of others before myself (which is sometimes good) but I forget that I'm important too. I need to start taking better care of myself while also still helping others along the way. I want to be happy too
I intend to count my blessings
I always say count your blessings and move on. Thats something to practice daily throughout trying times, happy times, love yourself and acknoledge what th higher power blessed you with.
I intend that today I will text a friend instead when I feel the need to talk to my ex
I have been fighting myself from texting my ex. Hes a ex and he's irrelevant.
I intend to make tomorrow the first day to respect myself and give myself the attention I deserve rather than putting all of my attention on everyone else to make their needs met... I realized I have needs too and I need to fulfill them myself...
I intend to make myself happier so that my family can be happy with me
I intend to finish all of the essays and exams that are hanging over me and graduate with top grades in every single subject because I know that I can!
