At the end of they day, Take 5 minutes and Introspect Yourself & Your Day. It will let you know what you did in entire day, what accomplished and how exactly you felt?
It will help you to know what areas you need improvement and probably make you think what you could do to improve yourself. Sounds good? :)

Someone told me that the mind never stops creating noise of throughts firing off constantly but when they said there's a quieter place behind all that to go instead of being in the middle of the thoughts reacting to everything instead I like to remember those words cause it reminds me how to feel less overwhelmed.
@CoinFountain
Also to try responding to each encounter in the mind or external to us with a sense of wonder or like saying "oh that's interesting" as we let the encounter pass by instead of grabbing onto it which is where many of us get stuck.
@ASilentObserver
For me with generalized anxiety disorder my mind constantly is overly aware of my shortcommings constantly so spending 5 min on thinking of becoming a better person at the end of the day isn't going to help me as much as a session of awareness of the present moment and being in the here and now...which may mean doing something I feel I haven't been doing or it may be just taking moments to let go of stress. I do have a mood tracker and a day planner if that's what you're describing but I wouldn't say that I aim to become perfect...just finding balance again where possible and forgiving myself for what is currently out of reach.
Hey @ASilentObserver thanks for this great check-in!
Mine would be- Whenever you feel overwhelmed by emotions and feel like everything is going wrong or is too much to handle, stop everything and a take a deep breath. Concentrate on it and tell yourself that you've got it and you can do it. It takes a lot of practice not to panic in some situations and motivate yourself but this is something that I am learning to do. When I take that deep breath, I push out all the negative emotions and try to focus on the air entering my lungs and the positives by reminding myself of the things that are still going in my favour and how I can make the rest of the things go in my favour. As stated earlier, practice is the key here. It is can be hard at times to look at the bright side while a lot is going on.

HIya Silent good question![]()
I'd say to be patient and kind to yourself as you are learning these wonderful skills.
@ASilentObserver
after lunch i often just sit on the bed without any distraction (no music, computer...) and notice my body and look around in the room. nothing special, just being calm for a few minutes and being grateful for what i have. lots of people have much bigger struggles than i do have. i find we often just want to much from life.
@ASilentObserver Taking in fresh air on work breaks :)
@Mellietronx that is a great idea. The feel of nature can ground the energies that are not harmonious we pick up at work
@ASilentObserver I think my tip is to not get attached to any state of mind. The mind is fluid and not static. It can change like the weather. Accept what it is doing now and not get caught up in it. Avoid trying to push thoughts away. Then we get attached to them and are fighting a battle that we cannot win like trying to win at shadow boxing with ourselves in a mirror.
Breathe in and breathe out. If we can do that alone, much of the goal of mindfulness is one step closer.
