First impressions
The older I get, the more I realise that people’s actions usually make sense once you know enough of their story. We rarely react to just the moment we’re in, we react to everything that came before it. Sometimes one experience can quietly shape the way we see ourselves, other people, and the world for years without us even noticing.
Has there ever been a time when learning someone’s story completely changed the way you saw them?
@Bhrigs
I've often been amazed by the strength and the resilience that people have shown, and decisions that at the time didn't make sense, makes sense when we see it through their experiences 💙🤗
That acutally is very wise...
Rare to find an old yet actaully wise person who doesn't blame others for their emotions...
I completely agree.
@Bhrigs Yeah, honestly.. this has happened to me a bunch of times, especially after studying psychology.
Used to be a person who'd judge people just based on their behavior and assume that's their nature. Nice behavior, nice person. Bad behavior, oh, they're just being themselves..
But now I don't define them based on a single instance. People aren't just born good or bad. Their experiences, environment, everything they've been through.. shapes so much of how they act.
