I would want to keep telling myself that all I do in m y life whether on 7 cups or in my off line life matters. That I can be a great person even to myself. I would just tell myself to work each day to the best that I can do.

Hiya Ami thank you for sharing this. awww hugsRethinking, Re-living, Refocusing, whatever you want to call it.......moving forward from many years of lies is a very hard thing to get back on track now as an adult. But you know they were lies and that is a good thing. You are a worthy lovong person. You are unique. You are caring and giving. You are YOU.

How wonderful that you have worked and come to know that what you were always told as a child was not true!!! That right there is a big accompishent. 
You've not only gone to, doing well, and conquering more of life's obsticles, but, you are also confidently and brightly looking even more forward to conquering and achieving more and more. I have been so wrong about so much for most of my life.
I have not seen what I should have, so many years ago.
I am at a point where I am almost too old to do much about said things anymore, for any better results.
I still choose happiness and positive things, within my realm for how it is.

You are not an inconvenience. You're not disposable. You're not some mistake. It's ok to not know exactly what you're doing or what you're supposed to do. Life is about learning as you go. While you may not be where you want to be right now that doesn't mean you won't get there eventually. Be patient with yourself. Allow yourself to grieve. Allow yourself to feel. It's ok to cry. It's not a sign of weakness. Love yourself. Love yourself as no one else has. Love doesn't have to hurt. It's ok to make mistakes but forgive yourself and learn from them. No matter what - do not give up. You keep going because there is a whole world to be discovered. One day you will find peace and the wars you wage inside yourself will subside and life will be good. It will be worth it - because you are worthy of it

I want to tell myself that you have done all you can to keep you and Grover in your home. Lots happened that is effecting all fo this during the years you left with the extreme, so dangerous abuse going on. It was his choices during that time, not yours, that have you both in this mess. You have come back and done so much to help him straighten all this out so much, over and over, and lots of more times. He does not listen. That is his choice, not yours. You are not responsible for his choices, You have tried so hard to be so good to him, help in all ways with all of this. Now, it is all out of both of your hands with the bad recent home inspection, If you do end up on the street in a month, it will be what it is to be. You will just have to make the best of it, and get things straight for yourself in life, and just take care of yourself for a change. Yes, it wil hurt to not take care of him all the time and yes, you will worry so much abou him, but, he is grown, he is 65 years old now. He will be okay. You will be okay. If things are meant to be to separate you both and for you both to go your separate ways now, after 37 years, then, it is what it is and you need to just accept this, not look back and cry, but, more on and do what is best for you.
