2025 Week #13 Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 03/24/25 - Sunday 03/30/25)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are usually much harder then we think. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

This weeks "spoke to me, hope it helps you" quote of the week.....

The little things add up.....set your goals small....celebrating a bunch of little things every day is way better than waiting to celebrate that one big thing.....
my goal this week is to maintain a good sleep schedule - bed around 10pm, up early around 6 or 7am. (my body likes this routine, i just tend to fall off of it sometimes) i succeeded last night into this morning, so looking forward to keeping it up. the reason i'm prioritizing this is because if i'm not on a schedule then productivity becomes much more difficult, and my pain gets worse if i stay up too late at night.
@fearlessWriter78
That is fantastic. It is a great starting point because it builds a repetitive foundation to the day.
Someone shared an amazing bit of insight I'd like to share with you. But I do not want to overstep.
Your goal is fantastic. You can do it!. 🌞......😴......🌞.......😄
@IsayUncle thanks! it sure does help. i feel so much better mood-wise when i am up earlier too. so far today has been going well :D i'm more upbeat and motivated than usual.
This week is a fight to regain lost ground and regain balance in 3 major areas. (Core Balance), (Paperwork and Taxes), (Employment). YEP...... sounds a lot like LIFE!
ANYWAY.... I will post an evening progress summary this week. Using this commitment as a form of "Forced Discipline"... It's that important to my well being.
I'm slipping into dispair zone a little bit, and from there depression is on the horizon.
@IsayUncle good luck! life stuff gets me depressed too. i have a habit of avoiding all sorts of things i don't want to do lol
i can't really count on ever feeling up for tackling something difficult, so like you i have to force myself to work on it.
@fearlessWriter78
Yea, i think we understand each other pretty good in that department.
A lot of stuff i could have done last week is now coming to a head this week. I stayed up very late last night doing employment stuff and got up super early to continue today.
I think i can get back on my balanced track if try very hard this week.
I wish you the same success! 🙂
Get the presentation for the 3rd assignment done (found a template that I can use. Got the open source software downloaded too. Had to do the whole package, couldn't do just the presentation part)., write the paper for the 5th assignment, finish the lab for the 6th and not be nervous seeing people from my first stint in college that I haven't seen in a decade (in the area this week & they want to look me up)...
Plus deal with all the other things that I usually deal with.
Have the presentation almost finished. The instructor wants an audio narrative. Have to see how to do that. Not doing it myself. I am not a voice-over person. Been working on the paper for the assignment in the meantime. Have to paste screenshots from the lab and write two more computer policies on top of the presentation.
Seems like an awful lot of work for one assignment. The next two aren't that involved.
Got the 6th lab completed. Simply had to click a check box that I happened to try after looking at a couple blogs and two forum posts (none of them were very specific about the option I needed).
Still working on the presentation. Found an AI narration software but I have to download it so that will have to be done at home. Still need to write the two policies for the paper but I'm getting started on the 7th lab now. I want to have at least some progress saved on it Once I get my assignments at work again, I will have less time to spend on these.
@Enthenia
WoW.. you smokin it!
@IsayUncle I don't know about smokin'. Trying to get the policies written and refined and I need to go back to the presentation and delete extra slides.
40% complete on the 7th lab. Still have to do the papers for 5 & 6.
Currently don't feel up to snuff (although as I get older, I don't think I know what up to snuff should feel like). Diet again, most likely. Either ate something that I shouldn't have or didn't eat something that I should have. They brought bagels/donuts to the office again this morning but I know better than to do that.
@Enthenia
Ha Ha.... That "up to snuff" stuff definetly starts to vary as we get longer in tooth. 🤣😁.
The very good news is that it is a slow process and if we choose to counter it with good choices, we'll do ok trucking along. 😀. Your good choices are serving you well, even if sometimes it doesn't feel like it. In long term your good choices matter a lot.
It's natural to get tired and sometimes more than others. We must keep the fight going!
I couldn't do it.... bagels and donuts????? They are horrible for me too. KUDO'S TO YOU!
@IsayUncle the last time (3 months ago I think), I tried a small blueberry muffin because I was hungry and it just made it worse. Even when they had some sort event (Halloween?) and we're offering people free food, I abstained. Not to be a non-participant, I just couldn't.
Got the policies written and the presentation is pretty much finished. Just need the audio for it.
@Enthenia
That's too bad about the food restrictions. I know you struggle a lot with that. But for sure, there is nothing wrong with eating healthier. Kind of like a forced diet, which probably isn't always fun. 🙁.
Good job with the policies, get the audio and you got a wrap! oh no, not a burrito wrap. 😂.
Good job on the policies.
@IsayUncle they're done. That's the tedious part of this class--writing policies. And for some of them, it's difficult to find examples. Working on the 5th one now. Have to do one to two pages on Separation of Duties and two to three on Change Management.
what does trying very hard look like, this evening?
Yesterday and all day today was about employment.... Trying Extra Hard = Core Balance chores and paperwork until dark!
And poof.... maybe not... nap is calling..... but maybe ?????? 😬😵
WEEKS 12 & 13 ARE SHOWING BAD CRACKS IN MY DISCIPLINE! BECAUSE I AM TIRED OF THE DISCIPLINES..... I AM TIRED OF TRYING.
REMEMBER, CHOOSE MY HARD!....
MY LIFE COULD BE HARD, FROM OBLIGATIONS OR HARD, FROM THE DESPAIR OF NEGLECT.
What comes first, The Hard, or The Depression? and only we know, which matters the most to us, worth fighting for.
I'm So tired though.... I'm going to take the hard road, starting with morning tasks.
I just realized that depression has slipped in through the back door and it has been affecting me all week. I didn't realize what it was until last night. I couldn't understand why motivation or ability to do a task has diminished greatly.
DEPRESSION SNUCK UP ON ME AND ENTERED MY HOUSE THROUGH THE BACK DOOR!
Every little thing turned into a monumentous chore or obligation. I had already conquered these situations or these dilemmas and now they were right back in my face. They were piling up faster than I could manage them. I already had them corralled, how did they escape?
I think it started when my glass racks collapsed and that affected numerous hours of work and it also stole my ability to continue organization in that area without hours more of work.
And then I'm super worried about my dogs chasing bicyclists and I took time off of work to build a fence but was unable to finish that fence. I lost many hours of income that I could not afford at that time and currently.
I'm currently putting off jobs to handle my depression.
A sister I love very much has become polarized or even radicalized because of the political environment. Which I'm OK with that, but what it is doing to her as a person is breaking my heart. She has become very angry and isolated.
I thought I had a situation solved on a personal level with another family member and that has yet come to fruition.
There's a great rift between several of the family members that causes me deep sadness.
I believe all of these worries have consumed me and discourage me to the point of thinking everything is hopeless. Subconsciously, I'm like, what's the point?
I hadn't realized it, but I have gotten drawn into the darkness and I was becoming part of it and that is where my depression was coming from. In the darkness there is little reason to do good things except to bring some light to the darkness. But when you can find no reason work hard, to bring light to the darkness, then a deep depression will surely set in.
