I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are usually much harder then we think. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

Work: M, T, W, Sat

Self care: a moment every day

physical therapy, grocery shopping

I don’t have to be 100% I just need to show up!!!

Utilize coping skills: box breathing, grounding, music, relax my muscles

Bed time at a reasonable hour

——————————————-

Today was a nice day to start off the week.  My clothes are out for tomorrow. I’ve journaled. Today my self care was drawing, resting and listening to music. Talked to my aunt. I ate my dinner outside. 🌟

Your welcome. That sounds like a wonderful plan.

Like you stated, "not 100% needed, show up".

Pushing in the right direction has real rewards.

@IsayUncle

I’m awake, dressed and sitting here drinking water.

Anxiety is telling me to stay put.

I have people at work that make me smile. It’ll get me out of the house. I’ll wake up and feel better. I can play some happy music on the way.

Breathing, I am safe, I can do this I’ve done it before.

@peachThinker662

I think that happened to me today.

Anxiety. I should have been out of the house at 7:00 this morning with obligations on 2 fronts.

I didn't realize it, until I read your post. I worked hard last week to get things caught up and I did well but there doesn't seem to be any reward this week. It's like I still gotta keep going and other things got thrown into the tangle and now I'm just, tired, worried, overwhelmed, I'm very sad about some things.

I have been sleeping for the past couple hours, made my excuses to others and it freed up my mind a bit.

I don't have to be 100% today but i don't have to be -100% either. I'm getting started 3 hours late but I am gonna get started.

Thanks for your post and I hope you make it to work and end up having a real good day.

anxiety and eating and sleeping has won the day. it is 330pm. try again for a few hours.

i may be able to recover for tomorrow. (Important things to do to minimize the damage) I would say second wind but, there was no first.

i know what you mean when you say you are so tired. but i'm proud of you for doing what i couldn't so far. And you should be proud of yourself too.

Sleep sound tonight.

Mondays Goal

1) Remember last weeks efforts. I completed one big obligstion. I made good progress with my broken vehicle problems.

2) Biggest Effort Needed today. Make good progress on septic system install.

3) Try to get personal things in order.

4) Continue broken vehicle remedies.

Get caught up on the things I didn't get caught up on last week. Finish the lab, get a template for the presentation, set up the presentation, research for the presentation (which should be before set up), do all the background checks for the new customers at work....

And this pretty much all has to be done today. Plus do the two mandatory training things that I have left otherwise they'll keep sending out emails even though I've got until next month.

Plus take care of all that I'm expected to take care of by people who have more standing than I do...

@Enthenia This is me as well. Get caught up on the things I didn't get to last week (my own fault though)

Sounds like a pretty busy day for you! Yeah those reminder emails would drive me up the wall! And if you get them done, then you don't have to worry about them

@mytwistedsoul well it didn't happen. Going to try to get another portion of the lab done.

It just takes so long to do anything at work now. I have like twenty spreadsheets to look at with names. First I go through and find the names that we have files on but now that they put the files in a different location, it takes an extra 3-5 seconds for my computer to process it. Then it asks me if I want to copy the data every single time or if I accidently move a file over instead of copying because it thinks its an unsafe file. I've gotten the names, account numbers, b-days, and email addresses from the spreadsheets and put them on a WordPad File. There's at least 40 people I have to do and I have to use two platforms to gather the rest of their information so that I can do the background reports. One, I have to be on the VPN to use otherwise I can't look anything up. And I can't be on the VPN when I'm using the sites for the background reports because then the sites don't recognize my computer as an authorized user.

I still have to compile the names from the other report and I have yet another report that's due the day after tomorrow which I haven't even started on yet.

This is why I dislike taking extra days off even though I sort of needed to get the filling done and the dog did need a bath and a good brush out. I wish I could just trade my days off for a check or something. I don't understand how people can take a week or even a month off from work...

@Enthenia That is a lot to have to catch up on! A lot of jockeying back and forth between programs too. That would be a total pain. If they're so strict on getting things done by a certain time why don't they divide the work between other employees when someone has time off? Sometimes people do need time off, like for you needing to get to a dentist appointment and your pup needing to be groomed. I really hope you get caught up, I'm sure you will, it just really stinks that you have to work so hard to catch up on everything

@mytwistedsoul Well considering that they didn't even tell us when an employee left....I'd say shifting the load isn't likely. They do for the employees who deal with daily transactions at least they did when I would get the emails but I don't know what it's like now.

I made absolutely no progress on the lab. I got the environment set up and ran the scan that I was supposed to do but I had to sign off before it could finish so I'll have to do it all over again.

Ah, and I have a fourth report that I have to look at and then write novels on each customer and why their transactions shouldn't be considered suspicious. There aren't a lot of names on that one but lots of back and forth on that. Especially since I have to change my monitor from high contrast to normal then do print screen and crop because they want certain customer information on the spreadsheets they want us to create.

They want everything on a spreadsheet and that's not the best vehicle for everything...

@Enthenia Oh.. yeah I guess I was expecting a little too much from your employer. Communication is probably a pretty far stretch for them

Oh man I'm sorry to hear that with the lab. Is it pretty complicated to do or is it just time consuming?

So you have to write why someone's transactions shouldn't be suspicious? Should the people be the ones trying to explain that? That's an awfully of responsibility and pressure put on you! It would be really nice if they could have what you need in one spot instead of making you go back and forth. Are there programs for something like that? That might be a dumb question.

I've been working on things for 2.5 hours. (imagine how far ahead i would be if i hadn't crumbled) now i'm just a fart ahead 😩

i need to set up for tomorrow. having broken vehicles and changing them is a nuisance because of the many tools i need to transport.

I removed the back seat out of the used pu i traded for. i was going to floor it but maybe another day.

i need to load all my tools into it now..... kicking myself in the a** for being so weak today.

Setting up for tomorrow sounds like a great idea. It’s helpful to have things set up the day before so you aren’t scurrying the morning of. And you Reminded me I need to put my clothes out. ❤️

Removing a back seat sounds like a job in itself.

No more kicking yourself in the a** , that only uses up more energy.

Thx 4 the support. 😃.

I pushed on until 830pm. i did get the plywood base installed, so it's a lot easier to load the tool boxes.

It was almost a -100% day, but i'm really glad it wasn't.

Definetly not a +100% day, but plenty of room to make tomorrow a better day.

You got tomorrow for a good day too.... glass of water and take it from there! You got it!

TUESDAY:
1) Dog to vet (Rabies shot & Neutered appointment).

2) Imperative to make big progress on septic system install. I have all the equipment and materials there. Time to start digging and installing.

I feel like i have wasted 3 days towards that project. I cannot waste any more for several reasons but the most important, is the need to service other customers for continued income.

Great job!!!!!!!

Work is not happening for me today. My shoulders are killing me!!! I think it’s time for a job switch.

More than likely going to get written up today. That feels awful too. I’m over it. The stress physically, mentally, emotionally.

I just checked out jobs and sent some resumes in…

I feel like a failure.

Those darn trap muscles. Hard work holding up my head 😂

That is true. I had to take a moment to reflect that I’m not a BAD person, I just dislike my current job.

My job is physical. Constant sit, stand, walk…sometimes run. Everywhere has a heavy door. And emotional. It’s only Tuesday and it feels like Monday was 5 days ago, that’s how tired I was from yesterday.

You get up early huh?

Congrats my friend on going in and with your tools!!!

This morning I'm getting the rest of the customer data I need for the background checks. About 40 names to go through. I also need to start that report that's due tomorrow. Hopefully I can finish the next part of my lab once all that's done.

Got the data but after entering it all into the WordPad and then into the two sites I have to use, I only got about eleven of the forty done. I also have to pull up the information for the report that's due tomorrown but I have to be on the VPN otherwise the site won't work.

Aaand I never even got to my lab. There are times when I think even if I worked 24 hours, it wouldn't be enough. Yes, I played games while I was doing work but it was things that could wait while I typed on the computer.

@IsayUncle so I got the data collected for the report that's due tomorrow. Have to sort and format it. I'm going to have to use my free time (which I could get in trouble for) to get that report written and then entered into another web application before the leads show up in the office otherwise I'll be in trouble on that front.

Still have all the background checks to do. Takes me all day to collect the information. Then once I have the original reports saved, I have to copy them in three places and now acknowledge that I want to save the files to my computer every single time. And get that other spreadsheet out of the way that I haven't even started plus get the background checks done on the names from yet a third spreadsheet. Find time to finish the lab, prepare the presentation (get templates, time it, add notes, etc.), make the presentation and submit everything otherwise I'll be in trouble for not engaging in the course.

And I still have two mandatory training things to do.

It's really no surprise that I'm constantly tense.

@IsayUncle

❤️. I think it’S A combination.

I have high expectations of myself. Lots of black and white thinking. If I’m not the best, than I’m no good. Hence failure terminology. Trying to put in the mindset that 70% is still ok. But it’s not sitting with me well. It’s a whole new take on things.

Just had a little flashback of vacuuming the whole house when I was younger and missing a spot with mom calling me out on it.

So, the people pleasing, the strength physically/emotionally (don’t cry or I’m a baby/overreacting etc)

I’ve always been a go getter at work. Training people. Management. Supervisor. It’s like I only have had me—- Ooooh survival mode!!!! My aha moment!!! —-And I don’t want to let myself down because everyone else has let me down.

@peachThinker662

Thanks for explaining.

I can relate to the approval angle and perfection mode. These persistent reflections of inadaquacies can definetly lead to feelings of failure. But, I just don't think it's true. There's nothing wrong with trying to get things right and it's normal to crave approval/acceptance.

The degree or amount of these desires can be problamatic but feelings of failure should not be automatic.

I know you already know these things, but this is a reminder that it is OK to try to make ourselves better and in the process we fail a lot, but that is the opposite of a failure in my book. That's a fighter, a warrior.

A lone pillar of power never to be taken down..... Ok Ok, a little bit much, but you get the idea.

I'm sorry about your aches and pains because of your trap muscle. I had never heard of a trap muscle so when you mentioned it, I actually thought it was a metaphor for, "our mind trapping a negative thought" in our brain. (a trap muscle 😁🤣)

I did look it up and can understand how it can cause pain. Sorry about that. I hope it feels better so you feel better today.

So correct in that failure shouldn’t be the first go to word. Gentle reminders to keep trying I guess. Inner child wounds. I feel like all my life I’ve been compared to her. And she’s not a role model. Maybe I am just me and I put that on myself.

Oooh. I guess you could say stress gets trapped in the trapezius muscles for sure!!! Pain the neck is real! 🤣 But look I taught you something. You have a new knowledge for today. 🤓

It’s just really a matter of being kind to myself. Prioritize needs. Nutrition. Hydration. Love. And Rest. 💕

@peachThinker662

Yeah, you got the right idea. Be good to yourself.

I think i've come to a perspective that helps me with "lack of approval" [trust me when i say, "I suffer or suffered greatly from that"]

My sustainable perspective is "REGRET". It's easy to get our feelings hurt when we're looking for a response from somebody, for a particular reaction. I think it's normal to get angry sometimes, or insecure, like we did something wrong.

If we go around blaming ourselves every time somebody doesn't recognize us, that's just a long painful journey.

Over several years, I've been able to let go of relationships and expectations without anger. I think that's important, without the anger.

I've traded the anger, expectations and self doubt, for regret.

I live with a persistent regret that I cannot do anything with these people that will benefit them, and they can not really do anything for me that makes me feel better.

I regret the separation. But I accept it and in doing that I think I have a little bit of hope and I leave a little bit of room for possible reconciliation in the unknown future.

Trading regret, for the anger, self doubt and expectations has worked well for me. It's easier for me to live with the sadness of regret, than the expectations of others on a daily basis.

i hope my outlook is helpful🤗.

(Mixing posts) good luck with bloodwork and laundry. 😁

Expectations are resentments just waiting I suppose.

No body else living my life except me.

Maybe I speak down to myself just for the simple fact that’s what feels comfortable. The most uncomfortable feeling yet it’s comfortable. What the what.

I fly in survival mode. It’s like a motivational tactic maybe. I’m glass you started this conversation. Got the gears going a little bit. Think they need some wd-40.

Slow down and enjoy.

Yes, got some of that awful laundry done. Such a chore and still more to go. Today I feel off. All this UP, I got offered a new job and I took it, I just received good news from some people with my bills. Good is flowing and it just wants to make me cry. Maybe that’s why they call it a “release.”

I showered. Dressed. Fuzzy socks. Journaled. Gave my self a pedicure and used a face mask. Sitting out side. Contemplated not coming on here but, hoped I get some good insight to move me out of this funk.

Sorry for the long winded message. Appreciate you ❤️
