2025 Week #46 Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 11/10/25 - Sunday 11/16/25)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

@IsayUncle
Can I have two goals?
One is to forward a bunch of documents I'm procrastinating over.
The second is to chat to my boss's boss. Going high up feels intimidating.
@Clio9876
Yes, absolutely.
Oh Yea... that can be a little bit scary... but we are all just people and we should be able to talk with whom we need too.... but still... 😬. No worries, you can do it. 😉🙂
Good luck with the documents too! 👍
@IsayUncle
I didn't succeed with the documents today. Monday is normally my best day for that kind of thing. But I'm sick. Hopefully just a cold. And I waited an hour for a mechanic who didn't show up. And that just kinda finished me off.
But I did post 2 birthday cards and a letter I was planning to do Wednesday. I also did a nice walk with the dog. And shared something I was worried to share and got a great response.
So, 3 up and 2 down, that's a positive day.
Get my work done so I can experience what is known as "free time" again...
@Enthenia
Any luck towards a little bit of free time? It's hard to come by, for sure! 😕
@IsayUncle well I've been able to keep the dog active. I don't think I'd know what to do with my free time if I had any again. Maybe go back to drawing. Have to make sure the dog doesn't take the pencils or pens though. They look like sticks to her...
So I know I'm not really supposed to complain about work but today I got warned about my numerous errors. I made 4 errors out of a list of 45. Really? That's a 97% accuracy. And I had to gather information from at least three sources to gather the information Plus I had twenty other reports to do on top of that one. Apparently 97% isn't good enough. They expect 120% accuracy. But if I say anything that could be construed as unfavorable, I'm a negative person. Yet that's all this place does. Point out everything I do wrong. This is supposedly leadership.
@Enthenia
it's OK to complain about work. Complain as much as you need to.
Vent, Vent, and then vent some more. It's frustrating when there are no obvious redirections or solutions..
So, yea it's A-OK.... but you are good enough. and i'll tell you that 1 million times until you realize it. It's not about them. 😊
@IsayUncle I know. It's about me and my shortcomings. With constant criticism (and apparently it's a corporate thing. The new lead said that's why we're doing it again. He agrees that the way the reports are framed is rude and they do seem overly critical. He says not to worry about it but it's almost every instance. And I don't want constant praise but it affects the morale when it feels practically everything one does is wrong.
And, it's an incorrect approach from what I've read but there's absolutely nothing I can do about it.
Currently, all I'm doing is trying to keep the dog entertained inside because it's raining. Was going to take her out and do another load of laundry but with the steady rain, she's not going to want to go outside. She could feel the humidity earlier today because her times outside were short compared to what's normal.
Not sure if I want to go in tomorrow and get the rest of the names out of the way. I'm going to have to check all my entries on the spreadsheet again or else I'll get yelled about it after the fact. But then again, they'll find something else to criticize me about. They always do. On one hand, they want people to succeed but on the other hand they belittle people and make them feel worthless.
But I know it's me and my inability to be mechanical I guess. They don't want people; they want machines.
@Enthenia
My dogs are funny on rain days.. they'll be all excited and head for the dor but as soon as tge smell the damp air they do an about face u-turn..... 🤣,thet do not like the rain!
@IsayUncle she doesn't mind the rain. We've been outside playing with her toy in the rain before. I think it was the humidity more than anything. She was more active yesterday.
Doing a little catch-up before I get to my list of names. Don't feel particularly well but I don't think I can recall what feeling a hundred percent is like. And, Ive got these names to do background checks on and then I've got to get to the list of names I did background checks on but the checks were pending. Then I have to get to all the spreadsheets and see which names go where and copy them to three places and acknowledge that I know copying files are potentially unsafe at least three times and then go back to the spreadsheets and verify every single name on the spreadsheets or else I'll get yelled at electronically again...
This is why I'm at my desk nine hours a day and don't use my vacation days. Now I can't even do the two holidays I usually do and until I have the means to completely break away, there isn't anything I can do about it. Of course, not sure how to get to a stage where I can have the means when I can't even afford to be sick...
@Enthenia
i guess you gotta keep going until something else happens. Do You let them intimidate you? or will you get fired if you just do your regular hours like everyone else. the heck with the progress... just collect your paycheck until they fire you. and they probably never will. if you let them push you around, they keep pushing. around and around you go. ☹️

@IsayUncle It's a right to work state which basically means that they can let you go for whatever reason. And, if I stuck to normal hours, I wouldn't get things completed on time. Some of our mandatory training got pushed up to the end of this month so as not to interfere with holidays. What that means is that management doesn't want to be bothered with work yet there is a small percentage of us who can't indulge in leisure because of the demands of management. They are the rulers and we are the ones on the treadmills. Since it's a right to work state, I guess I should be thanking them by allowing me the privilege to work for them.
I don't know. I just have absolutely nothing to fall back on if I lose this position. Which is my fault again for not securing better positions in the past that would let me have put funds away in reserve. It's just my fault. Everything. Not being able to meet the expectations of being 120% perfect when I fail on an almost minutely basis. Not being able to process things like I used to. Not being able to move fast so I can do twenty things at the same time with complete accuracy...
@Enthenia
Dear Enthenia, Is there any thing we can do together, to lessen your misery of feeling like a failure?
I'm serious. With this new year coming up, and a fresh 52 weeks to work with, do you feel like blazing a new trail on exercises and education of self worth?
Remember..... We all fail and fail and fail, over and over and over, time and time again on repeat cycle. That's real life and it's not real fun.
BUT HOW WE HANDLE THOSE FAILURES, forges our path to contentment and maybe even a little peace of mind.
Do you want to break your abject failure feeling?...... I'm not sure how, but i guess the first step is deciding yes or no about wanting the change.
I hope you have a nicer day today.
@IsayUncle It's best not to expect much from the new year. Much of the current year will carry over into the next. I also know that reality has a basis in one's perception and what one can actually control is very miniscule.
I've tried to change things around. The most recent example is school. Even got into the honors society. But because I can't do two hundred things at the same time perfectly, I've lost that. A repitition of my first failure at college. Left the first time because I knew I didn't have what it took to make it in design. The reasons this time are similar as well.
As the adage goes, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still just a pig. It was foolish for me to think I could turn my life around any make things better. And I have no right to burden others with my failings because everyone suffers and I have absolutely no place to say anything about anything.
@Enthenia
What you've done so far, was get tired of trying when it got impossibly hard. You did nothing wrong. You did what was normal. You gave up because you coud not find an alternative...... but there is always an alternative. We're often to tired to figure it out or even try any more even if we do figure it out.
That's normal.
But my question is, Are you OK with that or Are you ready to try again?
If you are ready to try again, do you want to talk about navigating the obstacles that you and other people deal with every day to overcome negative self talk?
I'm in your corner, and you are way too strong to give up just before you succeed. Nobody knows when that day breaks and a lot of people give up just before success..... thus never sticking around to see it.
@IsayUncle I don't know if I got tired of trying or if I just came to my senses when I realized that I did not have enough hours in the day to get eveything done that was expected of me. But that's because of my numerous shortcomings. If I could get to work earlier, I could have gotten more things done. I could give a dozen reasons but they could all potentially sound like excuses and laziness.
I can't control the reactions of others or how they perceive things. I can, however try to make an effort not to be a potential source of annoyance. I have made things inconvenient for me because I don't want to tick the other person off in some way or another.
I'm fully aware that what I can control is extremely minute. I know things are unfair which is why I've chosen not to take the upcoming holidays off or to use my 130+ hours of vacation time. Complaining does nothing and talking does absolutely nothing. It's pointless when the other party is more interested in belittling you or pretending to listen to what you have to say then agree just to get you out of the way.
To paraphrase Red Green (a Canadian comedian) it's not right or correct but it is reality.
Now back to being tired. That's more of a health aspect and again, had I done things differently in the past, the end result would be different. So yes, it is my responsibility and obvious lack of decision making skills.
Next year will have more pitfalls that I will probably step on...
@Enthenia
Well, thanks for your honest and articulate perspective about all things hard, unfair, inadaquate, unjust, and every other gloom and doom situation that befalls us (all of us) on a daily basis.
It sounds like you are already looking forward to another year of the same, with no intention of redirection. Is this an accurate perception on my part?
Do you want to change your perspective?
Or do you feel empowered by the truth of it all, thus martyring oneself by enduring the suffering?
@Enthenia
Hi Enthenia. i found this post and it sounded a lot like how you feel and what you're dealing with..
https://www.7cups.com/forum/35plus/NeedSupport_2017/MyLifehasbeenaseriesoffailuresfordecadesIamtiredjadedandlostfool_283889/?post=4020288
I wanted to share it with you so you know, you are not alone and you're not wrong or inadaquate.
Maybe you can relate to applehorse and get some insights about how to navigate things better for yourself. It's an older post but maybe you guys have something in common to share and grow on... maybe? 🤨
My goals are to get in a daily workout first thing in the morning and spend less than an hour on my phone.
@SafeSpaceToShare
Heeeey, 😀. Good goals. You're about 2 days in. Were you able to manage your goals so far?
If so, How'd it feel?
If not, What do you think hindered you?
If "not yet", Cool... get to it then. 😁. You can do it!
