I got the back rent paid. Ended up borrowing but I figured that since I will get the money from the retirement account, it wouldn't be so bad.
At work, they told me that health is important but how can it be when I take only one day off for it and come back to fifteen things wrong? And the supervisor said it should have been caught last week. There's 11 of you. I checked everything two or three times. Everything was done from what I saw. The spreadsheet I looked at today didn't look like what I saw for the past two weeks even though one of the supervisors said in an email it was the same one.
Now they want to sit with me like I'm a total moron to ensure it doesn't happen in January. I don't take days off (my last actual vacation day was September I think. Maybe August), I come in and work on my own time and give up weekends and it still isn't good enough for them. As said, I go back and check things to ensure that everything is done but there still has to be more. There was a point today where I wished I had lost a good chunk of my sight. At least then I wouldn't get this constant criticism and they do it to where it doesn't seem like criticism yet at the end you feel as smart as a box of rocks.
What I don't get was those tracking logs that they now have (which are spreadsheets also) said I had a total of 89 names for the report. I remember checking it. I had 89. Then when I come back after one day off that I thought I had to take, I find out that I'm 29 short. How could I be on track and then not?
But it's my fault. Always is. The supervisors word comes from divine sources (that's what my managers have alluded to) and I should never doubt them. Ignore the fact that they have a log that tracks their screw-ups. To say they make mistakes is akin to blasphemy apparently.
But I figured it out. I will have approximately four days that I will have to take off for the ophthamologist and dentist. That's a total of 32 hours that I sort of have to use. That means 128 hours will go to waste. It works out to two weeks and two days. From the four days that I sort of have to use, I will be stressed twice as much because I will have to start early and work weekends (with no pay) in advance of those days to ensure that work is caught up although I'm sure they'll find something else to complain about when I get back because they always do.
It isn't fair but fairness is skewed in this company.

@IsayUncle well the girl from the corporate office says they're like that at corporate. There are three leads in her department, all who have different managers and their director isn't even in the state. They are behind because they have to review the reviews. There's three of them and thirteen analysts. The inverse of here. And two of the leads took the same two weeks off leaving her to do everything. The reason they took overlapping vacations was because they all have a different manager and I guess no one talks to anyone else on that side either.
However she makes sure she takes her time off. She told me to take it all in one chunk and let them flounder but I couldn't do that. My dog would like it but I'd be too worried about the mess I'd have to clean up when I came back. Like with the 20 names I supposedly missed on the spreadsheet. One of the leads was putting in the aka field on one of our reports just the first name and she was doing other random things. She's also one of the people that runs things twice because I guess she's too lazy to open a file folder.
I really don't want to deal with all that and since 95% of the staff works from home (almost a hundred percent of the corporate girl's team works from home. She doesn't understand why they--the supervisors-- have to show up in the office a few times a month when none of their staff are there) there's no real way to talk to someone. Not that they'd listen anyway. Yes there's the corporate instant messaging system but it's not the same. And pointless because the leads/supervisors/whatever you want to call them have been ordained by those higher up.
The payment for the back rent is still pending even though I submitted it four days ago. I did it at the last minute one time before and it didn't take this long to process. Wasn't planning to but now the rent app I use won't let me use it to split the rent because it sees a previous balance which is not allowed. So, I'm going to be facing the same thing this month unless a minor miracle happens and I win the $4k that the financial app I use gives out every week. Even if I have to pay a late fee, I could still manage things this month if I got that. But that's a big "if".
Happy New Year! I am off of work today yay! Even though it is New Year, I have so much to do! I need to prepare materials for client meetings today first, and touch base with a few people. I will work in some time to spend with my family as well. I hope you all have a great New Year's day!

@IsayUncle Thanks for the encouragement🙏, With the help of AI I was able to jumpstart the work I needed to do to prepare for a new client. I was actually given a lead for a potential First client (yay)! It was earlier than I had planned, but it gave me the push I needed to get a few last tasks done.

Oh my goodness, I am kind of jealous. I've been trying to build a website forever and ever and ever. I've tried several times Fell into the annals of not having the time to finalize it or work with it.
So you can just, color me "impressed" 😁 Congratulations and great job for the start of the year. Super Duper! And your first client too, double stacker super duper. LOL. That's really great.
Sooo, what is your field? What do you work with? (only if you care to share 😊) I really like that AI stuff. Get past all the doomsday predictions and the privacy issues and just accept, that this is a new world, and I'm good with it. The AI is really amazing. That was cool that you were able to use it to your advantage.
@isayuncle I am in accounting, but I have done a lot of things including a little bit of computer work a long time ago. I just used a site that AI recommended called carrd. It is just a one page website though. I was excited to connect it to my calendar with calendly. I have made a WordPress blog before with step-by-step instructions, but that seems like a lot more work. My blog ended up costing me more than I made by quite a bit and the price of hosting jumped up for the website so I cut my losses. I just kind of jumped in on this one and didn't think about it too much. Having a potential client and this small business class gave me that push!
I agree, AI is pretty cool. In fact, AI has helped me so much to keep me on track and help me figure out what I need to do. It's not perfect and it has a lot of drawbacks, but for the things I've been using it for it has been very helpful. I would not trust it with numbers too much at this time.
If you're looking for a cheap one-page website, I would check out the carrd site. Depending on what you want it's free, $10, $20, or $50 per year. You can create using their templates. I also would say avoid bluehost. You seem adept at computers, I would think you could make it in a couple of 2-3 hour sessions. Let me know how it goes 😊

I also had accounts with blue host and Wordpress in the past. I was just never able to master it into a working website.

That sounds like a very very wise approach.
And, Yes.... trust is huge. You sound like you are a trustful type and I am also. It's always hard for me to be wary and cautious.
I think the biggest thing I learned about that is that people don't often Mean to be disingenuous but their circumstances lead them astray sometimes. But when their circumstances affect us with a serious negative impact, That just hurts and you can't get that trust back.
There's an old saying that goes "Good fences make for good neighbors". I think that's a good reference for friendships too. Never assumed that their yard is your yard. Until it happens and A lifelong friendship formed.
I hope you find some good peaceful, sound, friendships this year. That would be awesome!
