2026 Week #24 - Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 06/08/26 - Sunday 06/14/26)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.
I feel like I have totally failed all week. I've tried so hard but have gained so little.
“Never
confuse motion with action.” Benjamin Franklin
I fell into a state of deep depression yesterday. I did not even go outside and feed the dogs. It's pretty amazing how unselfish dogs are. They could sense something was wrong and in their own way they each came up to me, trying to give me attention. They can sense it and they can feel it.
The last straw on the camels back happened on Thursday. I've been struggling all week trying to make progress and Thursday was no different. I did not get motivated on Thursday until around noon time.
Finally, on Thursday, Late in the day I decided to do big task of changing all my wheels between two trucks. This was important because I needed my operating truck I have good wheels for towing my equipment for a job that I wanted to do, within a day or two.
I worked until dark and got the job done. (I was proud of myself and hopeful). BUT THEN.... My truck would not move. I did not realize different rims had different backspace, even though they fit on a vehicle. My wheels were locked up, pressing against my brake calipers.
I now know how to fix the problem but that's not the issue.
At a pinnacle time when I needed a success to propel me forward, I was dealt a defeating blow and I just gave up for a day, beat down and discouraged. (On the brink of a crippling depression)
Today I must battle on, and regain the ground that I lost in the past couple of days.

yields to diligence.” Antiphanes

I hate wasting time.” Stephen

miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your

4:11AM: Clean the kitchen.
@IsayUncle
5:07Am: attitude with gratitude.... no "woe is me", for the moment.
@IsayUncle
6:14AM: At 66 yrs old, healthy but overweight, my feet burn and my legs ache all day. Recently a crook in my back makes it hard to walk straight.
I look around and think.... think too much.... my mind gets tired..... it matches my body. Even before I get started good, I just want to nap, eat and nap. If I do, depression will grow quickly.
6:18AM: The kitchen is clean. A tired mind and a sore body will be forced to do morning tasks... just because. I just want to lay down and close my eyes for a while.
@IsayUncle Hey let's take a moment here. I know that the trouble with the wheels had to be completely frustrating. It can be hard in moments like that to hold onto that feeling of pride at getting the job done. It was a learning experience. And you know how to fix it now should you face this challenge again. That's a good thing Uncle! But I do understand that it felt like absolute defeat at the moment and I'm sorry that happened.
@mytwistedsoul
Thank you Twist. Thanks for the heartfelt and sincere conversation.
I couldn't get past the tiredness this morning. I've been dozing On and off in front of the TV all morning.
Regardless of the hot and humidity it's beautiful outside, kind of makes it worse.
I'm going to Try to get out there now. I haven't drink anything in a couple weeks but it might take a couple shots of liquid courage To break the binders.
I just went out and fed the dogs, They're such good pups. 😊.
Thanks again for the genuine conversation. It really helped/ helps. I hope you're doing good in this hot and humid weather. I'll steal your tagline and tell you to stay awesome today. Have a good day twist.
@IsayUncle I'm glad it helped. You've been going at it pretty hard the past week. Sometimes it catches up with us. Some days things seem never ending. Just one thing after another and maybe that's what wears us down. There's no shame in needing a day of rest (or there SHOULDN'T be any shame in it)
So , my goal of the day might not seem like much, but I've been dealing with TMJ for some years now and have been dreading brushing my teeth a lot of times. My goal for today is to brush my teeth tonight, to not forget about it and to sleep with a clean mouth !
@MattyGoofball
That seems like a lot to me. You can do it. TMJ must be painful often, and hard to deal with everyday. Getting your teeth brushed is a good goal and hopefully makes you feel better. 😁🤗
@IsayUncle Thank you for the validation, TMJ really restricted the way I have to do life now, but I am managing the best I can. No more flossing but I discovered waterpik, I had to change the way I eat food and also how I sleep, but it's possible for it to be better!
@MattyGoofball
you're welcome, anytime!😀 Waterpik is a genius solution, perfect!👍(Once u figure it out 😂)

@MattyGoofball (

P.S. The safety algorithms didn't let me post the GIF the way it was. I kept getting an error but I thought it was humorous watching that pup trying Manage that water spout. good luck with the Pik.
Dogs fed, Load of laundry drying, Kitchen clean, Meat baked..... Morning tasks done, Boots on....
2:18PM: Change all the wheels again on truck. The dogs will be happy when I go out. They always get excited and start showing off with each other. It is joyus.
@IsayUncle
I never made it out the door. I rested again with my boots on.
How does this mood grip me so?
4:00PM: Go outside... Change wheels.
@IsayUncle I think they do that stuff to make us laugh. 😊 They sound like awesome pups!
Been a minute since I logged into 7cups.....I'm still around.....doing ok......life has ups and down as always.....I'm dealing with it the best I can....I should come here more.....anyway....I hope everyone is doing well and there is more positive than negative in your lives....I'm glad to see Uncle has kept this thing going.....Have a great weekend......
@CyclingThroughLife
Oh Man, it is so good to hear from you. You've always been an inspiration to me.
Yeah, we're still here, sharing our trials and tribulations and doing the best that we can. A little bit of support goes a very long way.
I often wonder if cycling It's still a big part of your personal focus and activity. I know you developed some medical stuff and I don't know if that interfered with your cycling. I also remember you were getting close to retiring, and if that happened yet.
Anyway, It's really good to hear from you. Maybe if you feel like it, take a minute and bring us up to date. I hope you do well today. 😊
@CyclingThroughLife It's great to see you! Hope you're having a good weekend too!
We all hear about, or have Learned, And even exercised ourselves the necessity of, "To Do" lists and routines.
I developed an early morning routine, (Over a year ago) about 4 hours long to deal with mundane tasks prior to starting a work day. Being self employed is different than having to punch a clock. Being forced to punch a clock is a routine in itself and everything else is managed around it throughout the morning and the evenings
When one is self employed that discipline is much more LAX and it is so easy to fall out of a routine and into a dismal sense of failure and confusion.
Routines get old, monotonous and boring. They lose their charm and they take a lot of discipline to maintain. Because of that, When things are going good, it's easy to drift away from our anchored routine start doing other things during that routine time.
For me, it has happenens over and over, again and again. I start doing well, and then I start making up my own rules, forgetting about my routine, And then over a couple weeks my days start getting muddled, I start getting overwhelmed and I forget what I did to stay on track.
I have a 4 hour morning routine that I call my anti-depression routine because whenever I follow it, I quickly, am able to get back on track.
I have no idea what grabs ahold of my brain and does not let me function, sometimes for days on end. I just went through a bad spell of that, and so this morning I looked up my routine list and did my routine. Maybe having a routine is the first step towards a sense of discipline, and discipline helps us refocus and regroup.
I think everyone that suffers daily or weekly depression bouts, should have their own repetitive anti-depression routine. Just small things that benefit and improve a broken spirit and a boken day.
