2026 Week #38 - Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 09/14/26 - Sunday 09/20/26)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

HAS ANYONE ELSE NOTICED THE ABSENCE OF, THE ONSLAUGHT OF POP-UP AD'S, ON THE SIGHT?
I'M GOING TO GUESS IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 3 WEEKS AND AT FIRST, IT JUST DAWNED, THERE WERE NO NO POP-UPS.
I'd like to give @GlenM and others that may be involved A big THANK YOU, of appreciation! 💖 Let the web-site coordinators know how nice and important it is not to have those stressful, non-related pop-ups. with a big thank-you vote of your own. 😃

@IsayUncle since I had a tendency to ignore them to start with, I didn't even notice that they were gone. But I suppose I've just gotten so used to ignoring them that it didn't register with me that I didn't need to ignore them because the were not there.
Today I'm going to try and get things done that I didn't get to yesterday. Hurt my leg yesterday. Dog gave me a kiss even though it was her fault. Tripped over her ball and landed on some concrete. Pain isn't as bad today as yesterday but it's still sore. Discovered the reason why I tripped over the ball yesterday. The thing that happens approximately every twenty eight days has started again. It always screws me up. It's also different every time and with all that I have to deal with, I don't think about something that happens roughly every twenty eight days. That also may explain my lack of judgement at the grocery store Friday.
Just opened my eyes again. Arbitrarily fell asleep at my desk. Was long enough for the computer to lock my screen. Fortunately, it wasn't close to the time when I clock in. Also feeling really cold which can happen to me during this time. It doesn't last so I just have to deal with it.
@IsayUncle
@IsayUncle aww,thank you so much for putting in effort to create such a motivational post! you're awesome (:
@Ednamius
I really appreciate the nice sentiments and I'm super happy that it's Instrumental Helping you with your obvious positive energy. 😀.
Learning to be a better listener is a wonderful goal. I think that's one of the hidden gems of this platform. When we decide to try to become a better listener, It truly helps us to be a better person, while trying to make a (positive) difference for others..... A win-win!
Do you mind sharing what initiated your interest in becoming a better listener?
And for the record, I'm sure you've met your goal of being a better listener because I bet you are a better listener today, than you were in the past.......... I hope you continue to enjoy always becoming a better listener. 💗
Another member wrote a beautiful poem about being a listener and i will look for it or the link to it.
As for me.....? I'm doing fine. Thanks. The 8 golden "Do's and Dont's" rules of being a listener were and are a life changing insight. I used to be a fixer..... and that is not the same as being a listener.
(and thanks for the reminder) - I also have to practice and get better at the "open ended question" practice.

The Listener by Jenna Tuesday
In quiet corners, hearts unfold,
Whispers shared, both young and old.
A gentle nod, a steady gaze,
A soul that wanders through their maze.
No need for answers, no need for praise,
Just holding space in tender ways.
With each deep breath, a story told,
Of broken pieces, brave and bold.
Through tears and silence, laughs that spark,
You guide their ship, out of the dark.
Yet every word they softly weave,
Becomes a gift that you receive.
For listening is more than art,
It’s pouring love into each heart.
And though you’re tired, still you know,
You help them heal, you help them grow.

Got home and the door was slightly ajar. Dog was fine. In her crate as she should have been. I don't think anyone tried to force their way in. I don't like the lock on this apartment. It catches sometimes. I had trouble this morning and I didn't think it had turned all the way but when I tried the door handle, the door wouldn't open so I thought the door was locked. I was also running late for the bus so I didn't have time to thoroughly check it.
I think what happened was that a strong wind struck up and jostled the door enough to work the lock (although I don't know how) because when we've gone to get laundry from the laundry room and I haven't locked the door (no need because the laundry room is just around the corner), the wind has blown the door wide open. The door was almost all shut but not all the way because the lock was sticking out. With the dog all right, I don't think it was like that for a long time and the door would have been wide open with the wind. I'll keep track of it. I really don't need the extra expense of a security system so I'm hoping it was an accident.
@Enthenia
yea, you're probably ricght. plus nothing was taken. But still, that must have been very worrisome. Whew, glad it all worked out.
@IsayUncle well it didn't catch when I locked it this morning. But if it hadn't been locked, I wouldn't have been able to get my key out and if it had been unlocked, I would have known it because the door wouldn't have been fully closed and the door would have been wide open when I got home (and the dog most likely in a panic). Maybe the one I got is faulty in some way. Don't exactly want to do a request for it though. It it's not air conditioning or a burst pipe, they really don't give it a priority. Also, after what I went through with the move, I don't want to reach out to them unless I absolutely have to.
I meant if it's not air-conditioning.
Looked it over before I posted but because of my eyes, some letters don't look the way they should until I look at the live response.
