Today is my birthday and every year my birthday is the most deppresing day on earth for me, becuase I realise that I have spent another year doing absolutley nothing, except for studying and it always feels like I am a loser who are wasting my meaningless life. But today I was genuinely happy and proud of myself becuase in less then 9 weeks I will graduate and all of my studying will pay off. But I am still a bit sad becuase of other things. I for instance got betrayed by a ex-friend and now we don't talk anymore and I have to see him every day becuase we have the same classes and I wish I had neevr met him becuase I gave so damn much to him and he ended up throwing me away like I was the most meaningless shit on this planet.

Hi, just read your message. Really tough emotional stuff you're dealing with. The complexity of such a situation: betrayal and loss seem the most salient (obvious) parts to me. Though, firstly, I think the most obvious part and one that seems obscured from your view is that for you to be affected by this situtation and considering the complexity of it suggests that you are a considerate, compassionate, reflective, intelligent person who has the capacity for growth. You're also sensitive and can be hurt a bit, so, take care of yourself and time, patience, distraction, distraction, will be great for you. p.s that was on purpose.

Hi I just want to say to you, I am sorry about what happened to you and your friend, secondly we are hurt, betrayed by people we love and care about. But for you to move out of this pain, I want you to start by seperating the person from the situation. You don't have to give axcuses for them for their deeds but understand the moment the situation had happened it has long passed live it there where it belongs in the past and move on just like your friend who has moved on and have probably forgotten about what he/she did to you. Take care of yourself you can do it, you owe it to yourself dear.

@Camiik Why focus only on the negative? So, the Earth has orbited th Sun once. Apart from the seasons, what difference did it make? You have as much right to have a wonderful life as anyone else. Be brave, make mistakes, laugh and learn. Bask in the warmth of your successes. And, most importantly, dont worry about the opinions of others. Thats their problem, not yours. @Camiik I can kind of understand how you're feeling... I live in a developing country for my parents jobs and there is never anything to do and I've lived here for 8 years. For me it's not my birthday but it's when school ends. I realize that I've been here forever and being an international kid a lot of people I know and care about move at the end of the school year and to me it feels like everyone is going places and doing things with their lives but I'm just stuck.. I can also relate to the ex-friend betraying you thing... Last year we made friends with this guy and my friends and I were all smoking weed and one day me and one of my friends sent our groupchat a video. he showed his mom and his mom told the school and me and my friend ended up gettign suspended and it ruined our whole reputation and shit and after that when we asked him why he refused to speak with us and just said i don't care I'm moving... So yeaa. It's good that you are happy because all your studying will pay off. also about the friend, i know it's hard but you just have to remember that sometimes people are assholes and the quicker you move on the better it will be for you....

@Camiik can relate to that. I don't like my birthdays either. I feel like I've wasted another year and this is the day to painfully remind me of. That ex-friend sucks.... but he/she is just another person in that game called life. You are the main player.

I have been struggling in life. Its like i don't know what I want. I try to laugh but it seems like I cannot laugh anymore, and I wish I can laugh. I am faced with choices and I can't seem to pick out which is the right one. I have no friends to talk to, and it seems like I can't talk to my family about it. I just want to be happy again but I cannot anymore

I stumbled upon an article titled "10 symptoms of depression in men". I literally checked off every item. It doesn't mean I'm always like that, but it certainly confirms how bad I have it. Kind of scary. But I'm still here.....
