@Andy875
life changes are hard as new habits that stick take time and many people try to do too many things at once ........ change i slow and then people sometimes get bored that it is not happening faster .... so they give up......
it is also helpful if you have real support .... some people act supportive but then expect you to give up especially if your changes effect them
@Andy875
Do you have a goal or vision of what the new life will be like?
I have a new goal, attend Sunday Church Service Weekly, this is my second consecutive week so far💪🏻
@Andy875
I use a kaizen tiny change approach of
just making mini changes as time goes on.
That way I can evolve slowly towards my ideals little by little.
And I can replace old routines with new and better ones.
I also change my surroundings little by little
so it makes it
less convenient to do unwanted things and
easier to do new things regularly.
@Andy875 Align yourself with your goals and what you want to do in life. Be VERY specific, this is something I've really underestimated. Be specific. Why do you have this goal? How does it align with you?
Think about your future, higher self. The person you've always wanted to be, the person that your younger self would've LOVED to be in the company of. Do you remember being younger and immediately locking your focus on someone older who seemed to have their life together in the way that you'd like? Be that person. What does this person wear? What do they eat? What kind of hobbies and interests do they have? Be specific and gradually work your way to become that person. Remember it isn't an overnight process.
I like to write, so I've started writing about my higher self -- in this story, my higher self is the main character written in first person. This helps me get specific about my why. What is the purpose of all of this?
Lastly, I rebrand myself. In-person and online. Delete anything that doesn't align with who you are or who you're trying to be. Personally, I never leave my house without putting myself together in a way I imagine my future self.
Have fun with the process and be PATIENT! This is a process of finding yourself. It is gradual, not overnight -- remember to do this all while unraveling your authentic self to the world. Be you!! Good luck <3
