I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

REMEMBER THE GOOD!
WE ARE HALF WAY THROUGH THE YEAR OF 2024
We are entering into week 26 of the 52 weeks of the year. It is so easy to get dragged down by hardships sadness and bad memories.
I heard one time that our brain is made-up of a Velcro material and bad things are like Velcro strips. Once they touch the brain, they attach and are very hard to pull off.
Sadly, Good things are quite the opposite they are more like a water slip and slide. They are great for the moment but then they slip away fast and seem to be gone as quick as running water.
WE MUST USE THIS WEEK TO REMEMBER THE GOOD THINGS. NOT ONLY TO REMEMBER THEM BUT ALSO, LOOOOOK, AND LOOK FOR GOOD THINGS WE TAKE FOR GRANTED.
Bad things just fall into our lap and stay there if we let them.
WE HAVE TO WORK TO ENJOY GOODNESS... REMEMBERING AND LOOKING FOR.
Maybe we can practice that more for the second-half of 2024.

@IsayUncle ok I'm with you on this grattitude journey, it's exactly what I need right now to keep rolling forwards. I'm fed up of being sad, I'm fed up of being stuck in eeyore syndrome ❤ ok today I am thankful that it is a sunny day and I was able to go sit outside and watch the sunrise, I'm also grateful for all my friends and support I get here. And I'm grateful I have a real bed to sleep in now.

I've been crazy busy with work, which really is a good thing.
Get caught up with work, do my next two assignments, not feel like a hamster on a wheel that's constantly running but not getting anywhere...
Not going well. Skipping lunch and I still have three customers to get data on and then I have to write reports on four other customers and get background data on. I have less than two hours to do it in or else I'll be in trouble.
So much of what I do is manual and time consuming. But, Hades will open up if I don't get it done today (Management cares about results, nothing else & there's a schedule to keep). I just want to get to a point where I can use the restroom...
@Enthenia 😥 that sounds very stress full. 🙁 please after work, get something to eat, and relax for a while. Hugs you tightly
@Tinywhisper11 I deal with it five days a week but usually not this bad. They get slightly militant near the end of the month. My work always gets done. I don't know how others manage to chat ten times a day. I don't have time for small talk (which is find because I don't really like small talk).
I still have five reports to write up then put in the software so that the supervisors can review them, make changes without telling me, and then submit them to the regulators but I got the data sorted and the background reports done. Then, once that's all done with, I have to go back to my daily reports and get caught up on them. I think I'm four days behind again.
I'm expected to build worlds on a daily basis. And not complain....
@Enthenia 🙁 bless you, I think after you finished your uni course, you should book a week of work, I think you deserve a vacation ❤❤ I wish I had a magic wand to give you, to do it all for you ❤

I'm really glad you're here. It all sounds very overwhelming. I don't know how you can do it with all that is on your plate, but I find that one think at a time helps me - not focusing on the next task until the first one is done.
We're here for you. Wish I could help, but at least can be here to cheer you on as you work toward your goals and tasks.
@KristenHR Well I was able to go to the restroom! 3+ hours later than it should have been. Thinking I'm making progress and then I get a message about two (most likely) blank reports that I forgot to save last month.
So now I'm waiting on the network drives to connect so I can pull something that will take me two seconds to look at. And while the File Explorer is engaged, I can't access any of my other open folders.
Got everything that was due yesterday at work done. Mislabeled three out of five things but I don't have the permission to go back in and fix. Will get reminded about that. I look at 5k+ reports a month and have to do so much at the same time and yet they expect me to be accurate on everything all the time.
Can you blame me for wanting to gain skills so I can move on? I think I've been here 3 yrs. but it feels like a decade...

@IsayUncle Puppy love is nice and my 16 yr-old cat gave me love last night. She fell asleep next to me. Actually had them both on the bed. Doesn't happen often.

@Tinywhisper11 I wish the cat would say something when she climbs up so I know she's there. She doesn't because then the dog notices her and either tries to play with her or takes her spot.
This is Charlotte. Was my mom's cat but when she moved, I got her. She's made it through another year (thought I was going to lose her last year).

@Tinywhisper11 Her face used to be fuller but I guess it's age (and the dog pulling on her). I will definitely need to get another cat when her time comes. The dog got really upset when she got out a couple of times and I had to leave for work. The dog doesn't like being left alone.

I'm grateful for the sun, and my backstrap (I can't sit up without wearing a back strap, with splints in) so I'm really grateful for it, but it's so big and covers most of my back and stomach. Itssss so hot, I just want to rip it off, but I can't unless I'm led down flat. So I'm also grateful for my bed, it's cooler in bed😁
So I'll leave you all with my last thoughts...... We must protect our planet, save a tree! Eat a beaver😁

hey hey you. It must feel good to be able to sit up straight but then also to take the brace off and relax and lay down.
I like all the weather modes, just none of them for a long time in a row like heat waves and days and days of rain. I am actually thankful for having a whole week without rain because the job that I was working on would have turned into mud and I wouldn't have been able to finish it. But I finished it today. So I like to sun too

There were two hunters rushing to get to their hunting spots before Daybreak. One of the hunters wanted to stop at a gas station to use the bathroom. The other hunter said there was no gas stations for many many miles and just to use the woods. The first one said that he had to go #2 and didn't know what to wipe his **** with. The second hunter got really impatient and said that he didn't care, just use a dollar if he had to but hurry up or they were gonna miss the sunrise for hunting. The first hunter came back 45 minutes later and the second hunter was so mad and he screamed at him what took you so long? The first hunter said, you told me to use a diollar. have you ever tried to wipe your **** with three quarters 2 Dimes and a nickel? 😂🤣😁😂

Yeah I did have a bit of a hard day yesterday. On top of trying not to spiral into eeyore syndrome. I've also hurt my back🙁 when my carers was getting me dressed something clicked, now the pain is at a kinda unbearable level😭😭😭😭😭😭 but you made me smile ❤ yaaay!

I have been fortunate by finding steady customers for the work that I do, but boy oh boy has it kept me on the run! My core balance is all out of whack. But it is worth the trade because my financial balance is starting to take shape, making me feel more hopeful about things.
I was getting ready to go to work today to "finish" a job but then it started to rain and I am really happy because I can't work in the rain. So now I have one day to try to regain my core balance.

I'm washing my dishes and then I have to take a shower. I have to take a cold shower because my water heater is broken. Unlike you, I dread a cold shower 😬. My Hot water heater has been broken for about two weeks. I boil water for all my other washing and cleaning. 😕

So I'm up to two days behind at work for one state. Caught up on everything else except for the drives I have to get on the VPN to access
But now, I am looking at the class paper I downloaded and doing my graphs on Visio because the assignment is due today. I have two hours to do it in.
Got the one diagram done. The other one I have to *hopefully* do at home because the format I need is locked at work and I have a similar freeware program on my computer at home.
Not sure if the dog will stay put long enough for me to do it. It's currently 110° (43 Celsius) here so she can't go out for very long. Plus, it's slightly humid which makes it harder on her.
Submitted the third assignment. Will try to start on the fourth one but now I need to get back to my job...
Looked at the fourth assignment. Have to do a logo--haven't done one of those in ages--and do a mock website. Most of the actual work will have to be done over the weekend...puppy permitting.

Hey, you sure are plugging away. GREAT FREAKING JOB WITH ALL YOUR PERSERVERANCE! I can honestly say that I'm proud of you. You have stayed on course and stuck to your guns, maintain a job taking care of your puppy. I know it must be pretty hard and scourging at times and I guess it don't matter too much if I'm proud of you but you really should be proud of yourself! Good luck on your 4th assignment.
@IsayUncle Thanks! I got the logo done and vectorized it (lots more online options than when I took my design class eons ago). I would star on the website part of it but I have someone asleep on my foot right now...
Working on the web site template now. Focusing on the mobile version now. Templates are helpful but I'm not exactly sure what I should place in the existing fields.

A month ago you were struggling with "Java programing'. Are you still working within the Java environment or have you moved onward and upward to other things.
I remember you were stressing bad about Java programming. Since then it seems like you've come a long way and I was wondering if all of this is Java related because if it is, you are kicking ****!
I finally have a break that I can relax a bit with my fellow threadsters, and other cupsters. 😃
A very good thing that has happened to me these past few weeks, is that my business has gotten a very good foothold. I've impressed a couple of customers and now they both want to work me as much as they can. I run a backhoe so it's not like there is everyday work for one single person but these people have big pieces of property and have big projects they wanna do.
After a couple of years of planning and struggling, I finally made myself a steady job to go to everyday at a significant wage.
That is a very good thing that has happened recently.
Another wonderful thing that happens everyday is how much I look forward to interacting with the Cupster community. I really miss it when I can't spend a lot of time here because of other obligations. While I was struggling, I had more free time and came to really enjoy the camaraderie!
