Weekly sharing of Goals! Week #32 (Monday 8/07/23 - Sunday 8/13/23)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But more importantly, talk about getting it done or why it didn't happen today.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.
Install gravel and drainage pipe for a basement sump system I've been working on for 3 weeks.
If I can get this sump pump job to a good stopping point and all my tools and equipment cleaned up and put away, that'll be a great task done. The rest of the week will be filled with paperwork and doing stuff for the school system.
School starts this week so I'm back to work driving a school bus and my time will be limited for all my personal aspirations. I just need to keep forging forward.
@IsayUncle
How did yesterday go with the install?
What day do you start driving again?@KristenHR
I just finished today.... everything but the cementing. We'll do that in a couple of weeks. The job came out great, all the hard work is done and all my equipment and tools are off the job.
I start driving tomorrow... Talk about cutting it close!
I am not commiting to any more goals this week.... just other tasks and chores as they come and go.
Thanks for reaching out (upon request) here too... I hope it helps.
The journey starts one day at a time, one step each day. Good job on repairs and work. I just got a new water pump for my washer installed. Now I can do laundry.
@IsayUncle

3 very difficult goals but you can do it. Let's get started!
Hi NotAllhere,
it's really hard to achieve goals when we feel numb and depressed all the time or at least most of the time. It's hard to know how to get out of it. When we're feeling numb and depressed it seems we can't accomplish anything to make us feel better but the good news is that's not really true.
You did the best thing ever to achieve a goal by starting off with a list. With writing down your goals, it will be easier for us to breakdown that list into smaller steps. If you want, I would love to talk to you and work you through smaller steps and getting them organized to make them easier to do.
I try to post once a day. If you want to share, why don't we start off with learning what kind of work you do. What kind of job are you trying to get? Is this a new direction or do you have experience in this field?
It's hard to find direction when we are numb and depressed but it's possible.😊
@NotAllHere713
Welcome. I joined @IsayUncle a week or two ago, and it has been really helpful to me in accountability. I'm glad you've posted too!
Do you have any thoughts on how you will accomplish these things or need any ideas?
My goal is to obtain my RN license. I have to take boards, get fingerprinted, and complete continuing education credits in very specific areas including implicit bias, human trafficking, pain control and infection control. I plan to take state boards in December. I will be buying study materials and applying for licensure in 2 weeks. Then I can get okay to register for boards.
Those are great goals!
@IsayUncle
Good to see you again this week.
This week, my goal is to write at least 6 lessons for the TED class that I wrote the outline for a week or two ago.
My second goal is to finish test 2 of my CEUs/certification.
@KristenHR
I really like TED seminars. I haven't listened to Any in a couple of years but when I was listening to them they really kept me inspired. I remembered when you got your outline written so I'm glad to hear you're coming back around to get started on the lessons.
Baby steps and stepping stones will surely get you there!
@IsayUncle
Love the frog. And you are right. Baby Steps!
The next few days I will review body system functions and respiratory/metabolic acid base balances.
WEDNESDAY:
So, I don't have any real goals today but I do have obligations, chores, and tasks to do.
I start working my seasonal - regular job of school bus driving today so getting all that sorted in my head, and getting the paperwork, seating charts and etcetera all in order have to be done this morning before I go.
I am really tired and burnt out from the last three weeks of trying to finish a big job. I wish I could just sleep all day.
Wednesday 4:40 AM:
Morning tasks and gather paperwork for bus driver job.
Wednesday 9:01 AM:
My morning run is done.... GREAT to see all the kids and wish them a strong year! A feel good morning for sure.
I'm not making any goals but I do have a laundry list of chores to sort and tasks to do.
Just.... Now... my speech to text quit working.... 😣I will restart computer but there's many other things to do!
Wednesday 9:40AM:
I think I fixed my speech problem. It was still acting up after I restarted my cook computer so then I cleared out all my cookies and it seems to be working better now.
OOOps's I just started try to say, "new paragraph" And that freezes the program. BUMMER..... WASTING TIME..... GOTTTA GO!
Clean kitchen - Run errands - School paperwork
Wednesday 5:32PM:
I'm tired. I'm gonna force myself to do some kitchen work, prepare some foods and clean up. I Wanna cook some bulgar wheat and prepare vegetables for a large salad for the week. Trying to talk myself into it. Ha ha, we'll see how far I get.
Thursday 3:40AM:
I still don't have any main goals for today. Just continue with the standard household chores and tasks.
There was a time not too long ago; like a couple months ago that the standard household chores and tasks were the biggest goals that I could achieve. Just to get out of bed and do a chore was extremely overwhelming for me.
These basic activities we're all time consuming and would shut me down if I didn't get to them. I have been practicing trying to do those all within a weeks schedule and have found a routine, sort of. It's kind of a broken routine but definitely a routine.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that, "Practice Makes Better" and it works. So think about continuing to practice your important daily goals until they become routine and you will find your footing for bigger and better aspirations.
This morning: Continue kitchen work - Start laundry - Do some paperwork (for job ?or? personal)
@IsayUncle
That is progress. I love how you can look back a couple months and see your progress to achieve more of a balance. I love it!
You have a lot on your plate most days, and I love to hear you are taking some time to just go with the day as you are without the super pressure you've been under the last several weeks.
I'm happy to report that I completed not only the 2nd test, but the 3rd and 4th and applied for my certification. I should hear back in 4-6 weeks if I get approved.
@KristenHR

@IsayUncle
I am. Thank you!
@IsayUncle
I just got notification that my certification was approved! I'm so pumped!
@KristenHR
THAT IS SO FANTASTIC! You should be pumped. You worked so hard. YOU DESERVE IT.
