Weekly sharing of Goals! Week #32 (Monday 8/07/23 - Sunday 8/13/23)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But more importantly, talk about getting it done or why it didn't happen today.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.
Thursday 9:53AM:
Prepare veggies and greens and cook foods in fridge before they spoil.
Friday 10:04am:
(AND STILL)..... Prepare veggies and greens and cook foods in fridge before they spoil.
I HAVE PLENTY OF FOODY AND KITCHEN STUFF TO DO ALL DAY! UGGGGGH! 😣
@IsayUncle
Today I plan to get some good writing time in.
I will be observing a volunteer as she gives her first training this morning and this evening. Each are 3 hours long, so I have a lot of time to observe and write. Of course, I will need to pay attention as well, but she is great at picking up skills and she shadowed and took notes for two months. I'm sure I won't need to say much.
This afternoon, I'd like some napping time, as it was a short night.
I hope you have a great weekend!
@KristenHR
Hi Kristen,
I hope your volunteer did well and wasn't too nervous and also, that you had a good day yesterday. Were you able to get some writing in? And being a little bit nosey, what was the subject matter you were writing about if not too personal?
Maybe you can get some more rest today and finish out the weekend on a good note by having a wonderful day.😃
@IsayUncle
My volunteer did wonderful.
I was hoping to work on writing some on those lessons, but I had another volunteer need some things that she needed to continue on the project she was working on and it took me like 3 hours to do that. The other project I was working on I spent over 3 hours on and I'm still not on, so I didn't get any writing done. lol
So that is my goal today! Write at least 1 lesson.
@KristenHR
That was some pretty fancy footwork to be able to jib when they jab. I can never do anything like that. That's awesome your first volunteer did wonderful, that must feel good. You taking time to help that other volunteer seems pretty important too and I'll bet she really appreciates the help.
so, "GOOD JOB" I say!
It seems like you're really good with the ebb and flow of things. I'm pretty confident you'll get your classes worked out and that'll be great.
My goal is to be outside more and walk and bike more to get back into shape
@blissfulTouch29
Those are great goals! Are these things that you enjoy doing?
I continue to find it amazing how I like doing things and enjoy doing things but never find the time to do those things. It's really weird. It's not even like finding the time, it's more like dreading to get started, even though it's stuff that I know I can enjoy if I just get started doing it.
If you don't mind sharing more, which of these three things is your first goal? (I know, getting outside seems like a freebie considering the other two goals but sometimes it's hard just to get outside).
Please come back and share your efforts and progress if you want. We'd love to hear more!😊
@IsayUncle
I know all to well that it is hard to get outside. Sometimes I have to trick my brain and say I am just going to my grandmas or just sit outside and enjoy the sun
@blissfulTouch29
I TOTALLY GET THAT! Ha Ha... Any method that works. If your goal is to get outside more, have you decided on how many times a week that you might want to visit grandma or enjoy the sunshine?
And don't forget if you do start getting out, give yourself some credit because you will really deserve it for the effort it takes and for being such a good trickster.🤣
Keep us posted. I'm sure Kristen would like to see your progress too. You can do it, We know you can!😉😊😀.
If you want to share, Let us know what a "getting out goal" might look like for you.
@IsayUncle
I have been outside almost every day which is nice and I want to go to my grandmas house almost every day or call her almost every day
@blissfulTouch29
That's great getting outside almost everyday last week.
Is your grandma's health OK or do you just like spending time with her and staying in touch with her. I'll bet she likes that very much. How far does she live from you? Does it take long to walk to her house?
Thanks for letting us know how you were doing. You had mentioned bicycling, do you own a bicycle?
I'm sorry for all the questions. I'm just excited that you're getting out and making an effort to do what feels good so I'm more curious than anything else. I hope that's OK😉
@blissfulTouch29
These sound like good self-care and fun goals. Can't wait to hear how you do with them.
@KristenHR
Thank you so much
SUNDAY:
This weeks reflection (Week #32 of 52).
At the beginning of the week I've finished a big project that I was working on for a few weeks and so I did not set any other goals for this week. And even though I didn't set any goals I did have several personal things that I wanted to complete but I never really completed them.
Yesterday started off pretty good until I tried to do something a little extra but it just wasn't meant to be. I tried to work in my shop some but my generator wouldn't start and then when it was just about to start the pull string broke. And in addition to that, a thunderstorm rolled in and it was raining like heck. 😒.
All things beyond my control and if we are to believe in fate or karma or the universe trying to tell us something, I think it was trying to tell me to finish up my personal stuff. But I didn't listen yesterday. I was too discouraged so I just ate and watched TV.
Upon reflection, I think if I had set specific personal goals I may have got more accomplished but I'm glad I didn't set no goals. It was good just to kinda drift for the week. I wish I had gotten more done so I'm gonna set some goals for today and hope it launches me into an energetic week next week for week #33.
MY GOALS FOR TODAY: (Being specific)
1. Finish sorting fridge, preparing foods and cleaning kitchen.
2. Fold and put away laundry.
3. Do substantial amount of work towards paperwork, log in receipts and paying bills.
4. Vacuum and sweep floors.
5. Redo dog beddings.
6. Write up new student list for bus route.
4:38am: Get set..... GO! 😅
@IsayUncle
It's good to have some time to do nothing but drift as you put it. It can be regenerating. We need time to relax and regenerate.
I like your personal goals. It actually makes me want to add one more goal - do 1 think on my to do list that is little.
I know that you can do it. You have more go power than I see in a lot of people! Just remember to give yourself balance and listen to your body for what you need. I wish I had the energy you have. I hope today is the start of an amazing week for you!
@IsayUncle
I don't mind your questions at all. Please ask me more. Is your grandma's health OK or do you just like spending time with her and staying in touch with her? My grandma's health is so so and I do just like to see my grandma plus I would get to see my Uncle Paul and Aunt Connie there too. How far does she live from you? My grandma lives about two streets away from my house. Does it take long to walk to her house? Not really a long walk however I could make it longer depending on which way I go if that makes sense. You mentioned bicycling, do you own a bicycle? Yes I own a bike
@blissfulTouch29
Well now, that all sounds quite nice. Sounds like you have a nice family.🤗. It definitely makes sense that you can find different routes to your grandma's house. I can't help but think of Red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf so you better be careful.LOL 🤣. But anyway, it could be a nice change of pace to go different ways and see different things.
If you wanted to ride your bicycle you could even make it a longer route all the way around. Just thinking out loud.
You started off with three goals last week. One. To get outside more, Two. Walk more and Three. Do more bicycling. Do you feel like you achieved any of your goals last week. And do you think you want to continue them this week? (it seems to me you did very well).

I try to start a new thread every Monday for on-going goals or new goals and if you want I can always tag you with the new thread so you can find it easy. You can also just keep posting on this thread if you want. We''ll be checking it too when we get notifications, for sure!
Here's the link to Week #33 if you want to keep on keeping on.

@IsayUncle
Do you feel like you achieved any of your goals last week? Yes i have achieved the goals last week
Sunday:
I've been doing pretty good so far this morning. I wanted to quit a couple times but kept going and I don't have no noise on. No TV no radio, kind of like in a zone. It feels pretty good but I'm getting a little tired of it now.
I got a lot of oddball stuff done in the kitchen. I save my vegetable and bone scraps for stocks. I had three one gallon bags in the freezer that were just taking up too much room so I separated the bones from the vegetable scraps and roasted the bones. Now I got those simmering and will continue to for 10-12 hours. At some point in time I'll have all the vegetables and just make a basic bone/mix stock.
I consolidated 3 jars of pickled Peppers and vegetables into one jar so that freed up some room. I also cooked two cups of bulgar wheat making four cups total for next week dinner staples.
The kitchen is all cleaned up after two rounds of dishes and pots and pans. And all my laundry is folded and put away.
7:51am: Sort fresh vegetables from fridge and make a house salad for the week and use the rest for juicing to drink for the next couple days.
My kitchen staples were a big deal this week because I'm dreading a weight management plan for maybe next week. (I have not committed yet). If I have good ingredients in the house and I don't have to do a lot of kitchen work I'm thinking about getting my weight down to 282 from 286. I eat a lot whenever I'm working in the kitchen. I'm like the revolving dirty kitchen never done eating kind of guy when I work in the kitchen. So getting all this stuff done this week well give me a leg up if I wanna manage my weight next week. 😊
1:30pm:
All Food prep and cooking is done! (Rested for a couple of hours).
3:30pm:
Wash dishes - Clean kitchen.
1:30pm: All Food prep and cooking is done! (Rested for a couple of hours). 3:30pm: Wash dishes - Clean kitchen.
5:15pm: DONE!
Rest.
My goal this week is go to the gym at least once.
@Acceptnlove2
That's great. You got four more days to get to the gym. Yippee skippy 🤣. Just kidding, You Got This!🤗.
If you want to share, tell us more about you going to the gym. Is this a one time thing or is this something that you're trying to do every week? Do you like going in the evenings or the mornings or during the day?.... Stuff like that.
Let us know how you make out. What happens in the gym doesn't have to stay in the gym.
We wanna hear about it! 😃.
@CyclingThroughLife .... A new friend that likes physical fitness and probably is pretty smart on that stuff.
@Acceptnlove2
Great goal.
Is this something new you're trying to establish as a pattern goal, or just something for this week? Either way, I know you can do it!
My 5 goals for tomorrow <3
1) study statistics for at least 1 hr
2) do one coding lesson
3) study korean for at least 30 minutes
4) complete 1 section of social anxiety workbook
5) do some stretching or light exercise ^^
@apobangpo
YOU CAN DO IT! That sounds like a busy day. I like the way you got things listed. Busy but very reasonable.
(Please let us know your success or setback.... it's ok either way for moving forward another day)
Out of all of those, which do you like doing the most and which do you like doing the least? 🤗

You Got This!
@KristenHR ..... Someone else that does a lot of studying 😃
@IsayUncle
Update: I'm done with almost everything!! I just have to do my 30mins of korean which I'll do after dinner 😄
The task I like doing the least out of these is definitely studying statistics because it is the most difficult one and also the one that takes me the longest, but when I understand the exercises it becomes way easier and even fun lol
And the task I like the most is either coding or korean. It's hard to pick because I really like both- but I think I'll go with coding because I've loved it since I was little and after finishing the exercises I can play with the program I made xD
@apobangpo
WOW, That is really really good! I don't think I would like the statistics part either. But you pushed through it and that's really great, good job. It sounds like you have a very fun inquisitive mind. I don't know if that's true but that's what it sounds like and it seems like you're doing the best thing you can with it...... Studying learning, growing that's really good.... keep it up!
When you can make coding sound like fun, you got something special going on.😃.

@apobangpo
Love it. Sounds like a busy day!
Are you in University or is this you increasing your knowledge on your own?
@KristenHR
I'm in university studying data science ^^ so the first 2 things are for uni, but I'm studying korean on my own just for fun!
@apobangpo
Nice! Sounds like you're pretty busy, but great goals for both professional direction and personal fulfillment!
@IsayUncle I am setting up goal that I will not let my illness will not get the better of me
@beLoved771
Well now, that is a beautiful goal, knowing that you haven't given up and you're still going to keep trying is absolutely beautiful. But more importantly, it is so very brave. KUDO's to brave lady!

Let's Ninja those problems.
@beLoved771
I love this goal. Great self-care and the pay off in the long time will be to your benefit.

And PS... thx for reaching out to bliss too.
