Weekly sharing of Goals! Week #33 (Monday 8/14/23 - Sunday 8/20/23)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But more importantly, talk about getting it done or why it didn't happen today.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.
Good Morning and Happy Friday. Today I am setting 3 goals for myself.
1. Get in a workout
2. Mow the grass between rain drops
3. Get my finances straightened up after being on vacation for the last 12 days
I'll try to remember to update at the end of the day.
@CyclingThroughLife
Welcome back home, probably take a bit to get your sea legs back. I hope you do good today.
Workout complete...30 min on the elliptical and 100 floors on the stair stepper.....
Grass mowed...I started my Garmin watch and tracked that as another workout also because why not...1.53 miles later I'm done mowing my hills...
I did not get to my finances...there is always tomorrow...
@CyclingThroughLife
Way to go!
I'm still struggling to finish my goal list from the beginning of the week but I think I'll be able to get it all done which would be awesome.
A huge accomplishment that I'm very proud of this week is that I did not buckle and start eating to help me make it through the day. For the first time in about 20 years, I weighed in at less than 280 pounds. It was 279.4
Today was 279.2. My goal is to stay at 282 or less for seven consecutive days. I'm fearful of being home for the next two days might mess me up. I have three days to go. The last four days have not been horrible but I have been kind of dreading the weekend. While working during the week, of course I had less time on my hands to snack.
I really don't wanna blow it! 😣
@IsayUncle
As far as finishing your list from the beginning of the week, I am rooting for you and have faith you can do it. One thing that did cross my mind though, maybe not so many goals in the beginning? I realize there are things we HAVE to do as adults and a lot of them are on timelines. When I write my TO DO list for the week(yes, I actually write one down each week) I have a space labeled MISC. for things that I want to do, or should get done, but isn't really a big deal if I have to carry them over. I pluck away at that spot when I finish the list for each day, if I have the energy or feel like it. Just a suggestion. The other thing I do, I try to get most of my "have to do" things done during the week so I can really enjoy my days off work and spend time with my girlfriend doing what we WANT to do, not what we HAVE to do.
Saturday 8:00am:
A. Work bus list paperwork for 1 hour.
B. Prepare fruits for canning for 1 hour.
The above two things were an epic fail. I had eating way too much on my mind, I pushed my luck and snacked on a few things but luckily they were light and healthy veggies and grains. I was afraid I was just gonna keep eating and blow my weeks worth of success of weight management. So I just napped and just woke up from a four hour nap and TV watching.
I feel refreshed and I do not have that strong urge to eat.
Saturday 12:50pm:
Same as before in general... Paperwork and kitchen work!
@IsayUncle
You chose an alternative and it was a good option and you were successful. Great job!
@KristenHR
Yeah, thank you. I'm glad I did it that way. Today is my last day to "tow the line" so I think I'm OK. Still a little hard and I'm still behind on my paperwork which is a bit stressful but succeeding in my weight management, and following through with that commitment is a pretty big deal and worth the other sacrifices for this week 😉.
How did you do this week? I get the feeling that you were staying persistent and probably got some good stuff done this week.
@IsayUncle
I got a lot done, but I didn't get my lessons written. I had to write up programming for each of my interns so they would know what their schedules are when I meet with them individually this week.
While I'm disappointed, I didn't get to the lessons, I'm pleasured that I did get done all that I did.
Sunday 0330 hrs. Getting ready to head out to work....todays goal....not to let myself be overwhelmed with the things I need to do to catch up after vacation.....
Side note....I managed to get my finances in order yesterday afternoon.
@CyclingThroughLife
Great job getting the finances done. Every little bit off your mind should help you through the week.
Don't let the monsters get in your head. You got this, you're strong, disciplined and determined to get it right.
Mental goals are far more powerful than physical goals but they are also, or could be a lot harder to wrap our heads around. Maybe joining seven cups will help you with the tools you need to hold the next two years together. But today is just today so I hope you come back and share how your day went and consider what prospects and techniques you could use to make the days a lot less hard moving forward.
@CyclingThroughLife
Great job at not getting overwhelmed and getting your finances done. That's awesome!
WEEK 33 Ends.... Marching on.
I can't believe that I did it. I actually worked until 11:00 PM last night I've finished all of my seven primary goals . That stupid school bus list really killed me this week but I did get it finished up so this week I can keep them young ones down the straight and narrow and all in the proper seats. 😂.
I also earned a bit of a bonus with my weight management and you can read all about it in next week's post with the link below.
I hope everyone else had a good week or at least a moderate week with enough hope and determination to continue on.
