I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But more importantly, talk about getting it done or why it didn't happen today.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Happy Sunday.  Did I mention I was able to have today and tomorrow off work?  This is helpful for my mental and emotional health when it comes to my work.  Honestly though, I'm not sure if it helps me de-stress from a couple of hectic weeks prior or just makes more stress because of the short work week next week.  I'm not going to think about that now though.  Today I plan on getting the basement done.  Then there is a fall festival in town I want to stop at if the weather holds.  Its been rainy and dreary all weekend.  Tomorrow we have a soccer game at 11am.  It strange that the school would schedule a sporting event on a holiday that had the day off but I guess it is what it is...

Looking forward, I put in for the every Sunday off this month.  I have use it or lose it time(that isn't already scheduled) to burn before the end of the year.  Staffing is looking pretty good the rest of the month so hopefully it works out.  I'd like to try to plan a weekend or a couple day trip get aways with my girlfriend.  We will see what happens.  Anyway, once I get the basement done, I am hoping to just do nothing significant the remainder of my days off.

I will continue my workouts tomorrow.  Sunday is my rest day and day off from all things fitness/exercise related. While we are talking about workouts, I want to share a motto that I have adapted to my fitness journey, and am trying to apply to my life in general. That motto would be "Back to Basics"  When we get involved in a journey to reach a goal, we sometimes have a tendency to over complicate things.  I do this with my workouts, as well as life in general.  One of my goals with my workouts, as well as trying to apply to all things in life, is to get back to basics.  When I was in the Army they drilled "pay attention to detail" into our brains.  I learned, and believe, that if we pay attention to the small, basics in all things, the larger big things will fall into place.

I hope you all meet your goal for the week by the end of the day.  As we go into next week, I encourage you to start small.  Don't overwhelm yourselves, set attainable goals and move on from there.

@CyclingThroughLife

Enjoy your time off and the plans you have.

Thank you for reminding us of getting back to the basics.  I love that idea about recovery, about when things might get overwhelming, about arranging things and about life in general.  I have a project I can apply that to right now.  I appreciate this!

Thank you for sharing!

@KristenHR

I'm glad I could be helpful.  I came to 7cups for ideas and help for my work stress and burnout, and its nice to see that someone else finds some of my own go to's helpful.....

I hope it works out for you.
