Weekly sharing of Lofty Goals! Week #29 (Monday 7/24/23 - Sunday 7/30/23)

I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But more importantly, talk about getting it done or why it didn't happen today.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Lofty".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments, whether they be Complex or Simply getting out of bed..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

@IsayUncle

I didn't get it finished, so am finishing it today, though I was able to complete more today. I'm struggling with a few questions so needed to take a break. Then on to test 2.

Thanks for checking in. I see you were up early in Eastern time zone. What time zone are you in, if you want to say?

@KristenHR

I don't mind, Yep, Eastern TZ, You too?

I thought that was a lot of questions for one test. That's good that you could take a break and I hope you get it finished up this afternoon. As they say, baby steps.... to leaps and bounds. Is this something you will know the score right away or do you have to bite your fingernails for a while before you find out?😅.

@IsayUncle

Thank you. I'm taking a break. I do have this. Have some things I want to do and I will finish it today then start the rest of the tests tomorrow and finish them by the end of the week.

Thanks for the belief and encouragement!

You've got this too! We'll do it all together.

Yup, I know exactly what you mean. I think I'm in the same boat. Good luck with your Trauma and Eating disorder curriculum too. It'll be neat to see where we are later on in the week 🌞.

TUESDAY MORNING

I'm having a hard time committing to an agenda or specific goals this week.

Generally speaking,
1) I have to make good progress on my side job. (Goal - get all the gravel and drainage pipes installed by the end of the week.)

2) Get my personal stuff and finances sorted. (As soon as possible, by end of week)

Today's list: A) Morning tasks. B) Dental appointment. C) Get supplies for side job. D) Repair flats on trailer, bring it home and unload gravel. E) House and money tasks.

TUE 3:33pm:
A, B, C, & D ALL Done (Except unloading gravel) + (E)

For the next couple hours: 1) Unload gravel. 2) Learn how to use laser level.

Almost had a good day.... the $700 dollar laser level i bought frpm lowes didn't work and then they jerked me round on the phone system for over an hour trying to see if they had another one because it's a 45 minute drive. never did they respond - just put on holds and disconnections. Now they'll be closed before i can make it there for a return or exchange. I now have to leave at 5am to get there at 6am tomorrow so my job can start at the right time and I was not able to familiarize myself with the level and have to waste valable time doing that tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! 😫😖😩 .

NEVER NEVER NEVER can I have the easy win..... NEVER! I'm madder than a hornet on a hot summer day!

The confusion and anger is a clear and present indicator my own batteries are running on empty.

@KristenHR

Thanks.

That's awesome on your first Test. Did you pass? 😮. I'm a hard taskmaster, no fireworks until I know if you passed 😂.

I was gonna check in on you anyway towards the end of the week so I'm glad that you touched base and let me know you finished your first Test. That is fantastic. GOOD JOB!

It's good that you feel comfortable enough to take breaks and chip away at things. If you're anything like me with so much on our plates, sometimes it gets hard. I really admire how you are like the little Choo Choo that could.😃.

@IsayUncle

Awesome news! Way to go.

I'm relaxing this evening and doing some writing that I've been wanting to do, updating my planner for August, and preparing for my interns coming on next month. I have something to write up, as I like to make improvements with every season.

So glad to hear a positive report! Try not to stay up too late. :)

@KristenHR

"Everything has it's season" (I love that quote/verse) it reminds me that everything has its time, everything has its moments. Seasons have a gentle and sometimes aggressive way a flowing into each other and big changes happen right before our eyes.

You really got a lot going on besides feeding animals and everyday dailies so I listed them to realize how busy you are.

Writing.... hmmm, about what?
Internship.... hmmm, about what?
Trauma and Overeating disorders Curriculum.... Are those classes going well?
Of course the tests.... AND YOU GOT THOSE...in your own time!

And what is the inspired future project you mentioned last week?
"The exciting part is that while writing out the outline, it inspired me to a future project in a similar area".

Thats a LOT of stuff 😂.... A reminder, don't overdo it... Everything has it's season.

Your passion is contagious so thanks for sharing it all!

@IsayUncle

I do pace myself typically - heavy day, light day, heavy day, light day. I work best that way. I love about seasons - it's scriptural and I love where there is a time and season.

Writing - I love to journal, and sometimes that inspires me to write on various topics for educational purposes.

Internship - I personally just started the Content Development & Marketing internship offered here, and my nonprofit brings on interns in college programs who are wanting to go into a particular field similar to 7 Cups, but very different in process.

On the classes and tests, I'm taking them one step at a time. No pressure. They are one step at a time, and I'm penciling them into my planner so they get worked on, but not burning the candle at both ends.

It looks like you accomplished a lot this morning before you went to work! Do you take days off to regenerate? It seems like you have so many responsibilities with your work, and it is a lot of time commitment. Are you the only one or do you have a team that works with you so you can delegate?
