Hello everyone. Thank you for giving thoughtful answers and being supportive to one another! Now moving onto question five
The question for today is:
Why do you think it is important to motivate others?
My answer: Sometimes for me it gives immense satisfaction, when the other person reaches the goal, and all we did was show the way, that is, motivated and believed in them. Everybody has something about them that is worth complimenting or encouraging. And what you do will be rewarded ten times over. So its not for brownie points we should motivate others but because it also helps us (the giver feel good factor) and it builds up friendships. Sometimes, these are people who may encourage us in our difficult times.

Let us know Why do you think it is important to motivate others! I look forward to reading your replies. ^_^

@Enchantra Because they also deserve to be encouraged. There are times that it can be hard for other people to be motivated and it's good that we can be there for them to be their source of motivation so they'd also be enlightened that there are people who believe in them and with the potential and capabilities they have. <3
@Enchantra
Motivating others is a way to give that person a bit of their self esteem back and we all need that in our lives. Is also a way to give them goals and small objectives for them to focous which is amazing when we're lost.
@Enchantra
SIMPLE ANSWER.... TO SPREAD SMILES 😃
@charmingBeauty55
haha yes! awesome x3
@blossombreathe
Thank you so much😎
@Enchantra
There's many reasons why motivating others is important. If what you say motivates them and you see positive effect then that will bring happiness or joy to you. Also motivating others often times motivates yourself.
But most important it's the fact that you can change someone's life for the better.
This in itself proves how intertwined we are all to each other. When someone is in a bad mood that bad mood spreads to others. With someone is happy and laughing then that is also infectious. It causes others to be happier then they were before.
@Enchantra
it is important because we in turn get self motivation by helping others we could apply those same words to us and then change our life for better ...helping people is one of my favourite habit and i will do it until death crosses my way......our heart speaks out the true words to a distressed person facing a same circumstance
@Enchantra
Why do I think it is important to motivate others: Well to me its that some members that use 7Cups has so much going on that they dont have the time to find or can see what Movtivates them. And so Listeners like use are able to get them to take a step back and look at the big pictcher and find what keeps them going. And as we get our Members and Guests to see that there are reasons to keep going then it gives then the drive to get well and to Live. Which Movtivation doesnt have to be so big that it can seem hard it could be just looking at a puppy for 10 minutes to get that smail on your face or the sounds of spring time birds to give you the drive to do your daily taskes
@Enchantra
I think it's important to motivate others because we all deserve some encouragement and positivity in our lives sometimes. They might not see the value in going forward anymore, despite the reward at the very end of the journey that they've been wanting, and through the tough times, they need someone to help them move forward. It brings us inner satisfaction and pride to see them move forward and continue on their journey.
@Enchantra So, I think the answer to this question goes both ways. Motivating others, in a sense, motivates us as well. By helping to push others towards their potential or goals, I feel motivated to pursue my own ambitions. Also, humans are social creatures; motivating others is an important part of social interactions. It helps create tighter bonds and makes both parties happier.
Hello everyone, I just love to read everyone's views on it so far. So much wisdom is present here
Now we are moving on to our next question i.e Number 6, till now weve brainstormed what works for us, we can now shift the focus to others
Today's question is :
If you feel that someone close to you isnt as motivated as he/she should be, what would you suggest they do?
My answer : I would suggest them to look inside to feel how capable they are by observing how far they had come because of this, even it is so tough to believe now and to plan the shorter goals to achieve. As in case of demotivation, bigger goals can easily make them feel overwhelmed. Apart from this, also suggesting them to write their goals on paper it will give a greater impact on the motivation.
Let us know What do you suggest to others, so that then can get motivated! Looking forward to read some awesome views

If you feel that someone close to you isn
Offering company and asking how they are feeling would really make them feel important and cared and it can bring some positivity in them too @Booklover95 Thanks for sharing it
@tinugeorge I'd probably try to identify first what makes them feel that way and probably from there we can determine what things we can do to motivate them. We can brainstorm ideas and come up with things that could possibly affect their mood for them to become motivated. Or at least help them to be focused on what they're supposed to.
I really like the thing you mentioned, identify what makes them feeling that way @Erato and then further brainstorming, this is really important to get to the root cause and then eliminating it. Thanks for sharing your views on this
@tinugeorge
I would see with them their goals, to help remind them how important these goals are to them and what they would bring to them. If they want I
I really like your idea of reviewing small steps with them and saying, "I believe in you" these are so powerful things to help others in getting motivated @LinearWaves Thanks for sharing this
@tinugeorge
If I feel that someone close to me wasn't as motivated as he/she should be, What would I suggest they do?
Well first off I couldnt suggest them to do nothing whaich to me would be the feeling of telling them what to do and it lead to the wrong outcome. To me I would ask what they love to do and want to try thats new and they never tryed. And from that I would do the same task as they did to show my support for them and make it fun
Asking what they love to do and then supporting them in doing that, how caring does it sound @Reececup1986 Thanks for sharing this
@tinugeorge
Thank you and it sounds great
@tinugeorge Well, first off, I would listen to what is going on and help them figure out why they are not feeling motivated as they ought to be. I think examining ones thoughts and emotions would greatly help them. I can only guide them to becoming more motivated, but Id be happy to make suggestions like asking what helped them the last time they were not feeling super motivated and how that worked for them. Of course, this subcommunity is a resource I would suggest for them to check out as well! :)
Completely agree with these words, "examining ones thoughts and emotions would greatly help them" @lovelyWhisper66 Love your words and ofcourse, this subcommunity is a resource for everyone to check out when needed. Thanks for sharing your views with us
@tinugeorge I would and what I always do mostly is that I tell them that "You have come so far with what you wanted to achieve and yes sometimes life gets very challenging but you need to look the path that you have come so far on and that believe in yourself that if you have reached up till here then you can go as far as till the end of it"
Making them feel pride on them will surely boost confidence in them @TheLandOfHope Thanks for sharing this with us
@tinugeorge
My answer.... I don't know except to support that person maybe .... 😌😌😌
A person going through tough times needs nothing but just support and our support can give them much needed hope they require. Hope is so powerful to fight with these and providing support is so important for that. Thanks for sharing your valuable views with us @charmingBeauty55
@tinugeorge
Hmm, I'd suggest them to look at their overall goal again, and see if there are any tweaks or changes they feel they want to make to it because we all grow and change. As we grow and change, our goals occasionally can evolve with us, and we should be flexible with it. If they're demotivated but still want to achieve the same goal, I'd suggest writing down on a piece of a paper a list of why they want to achieve it and what will help them get there/steps they want to take to get there. Writing down our goals, reasonings for them and how to get there can really make them feel more tangible and achievable because they're not just all in our heads.
Looking at overall gain and suggesting them to write on a paper do help in keeping motivated. Thanks for sharing it @rebecca947
