Music Healing
Music can be healing when we are going through a tough time. It can say the words we have been meaning to say, that were pushed back or suppressed.
Who are 3 top artists that impacted you the most when you were going through a tough time?
@determinedSquare9605 mines is bad omens, the neighborhood and sombr :)

Bad Omens is indeed a good track. I guess I like faith music of varying subcultures. I like Simon and Garfunkel's Rosemary and Thyme.
@GreenEasil00 I like.. Yuki Kajiura's Canta per me. though, I don't think I'd normally get into the Opra variety and was just random. There's also.. the spice girls vs. the dixie chicks.. I don't remember the track.

Linkin Park would have to go at the top for me, I can return to Hybrid Theory and Meteora and still really enjoy them anytime! Something more recent I'd put next would be Sleep Token (an offering from the UK and my current favourite), watching them blow up with TMBTE was incredible, and it's really cool to seem them break in to other regions with Even in Arcadia coming out really soon! Choosing a third is so difficult however, there's so many I could put there so I'll just say third place is a tie for everything else rather than listing 20 others 😆
@determinedSquare9605 Music is my go-to whenever I'm feeling low. It calms me, and in a way I can express myself better sometimes.
My top 3 artists are-
- Selena Gomez (especially her song My Mind and Me)
- Tyla Jane
- Billie Eilish

When things were tough, I often leaned toward artists like Billie Eilish, Conan Gray, and Arctic Monkeys. Their songs are just so soothing and perfectly encapsulates the somber feelings I'm experiencing at that present moment, you know? In a way, it kind of amplifies and validates my emotions.
What about you? What are your 3 top artists, I'm curious to know!
Did you try to listen to riad alsonbaty music ?
@TianasCinema
It's going to sound weird, but Metallica helped me growing up. I play a lot of their songs on guitar and found that playing with them helped me push out a lot of anger and aggression that would have been bottled up, had I not done so. During COVID, I finally bought an ESP LTD KH-202 electric guitar, which is the black one Kirk Hammett used on Metallica - Metallica (or the black album, if you call it that!)
Playing their music also gave me a huge adrenaline rush and I always felt good after a decent jam session with one of their CDs, or even cassettes, back then!
Unfortunately I have moved away from them since Death Magnetic, I believe that Jason Newsted was the best thing that happened to them since losing Cliff and I don't like the direction their music went in the way that it did. Still love all their old stuff though.
