Support Group
I am trying to learn how to live with BPD, but I have no family, and making friends (as you probably know) is sooo difficult. I do have a counselor, but I have no personal support system.
I’ve been looking for support groups for MONTHS, but there wasn’t much to find, and what is out there is booked full, so I’m waitlisted on as many meetings as possible, but have yet to get into one.
I’m at my wit’s end. I NEED HELP. I need a support system that understands and accepts. I need someone who sees the rawness of BPD and stays. I need someone to GIVE A SHIT.
Can we PLEASE start a virtual group or can I find one person, just one, who I can contact in moments of an episode or need??? Please.
@FranklyAvalon
Hey there. Thank you for sharing. I am sorry to hear about your struggles to finding a group. I do know that there are BPD discussions that are sometimes held. I used to lead some years ago. I am not sure of the schedule there. But you can always also join the room Support 24/7. There might be users there that you can relate to.
@FranklyAvalon
I'd be happy to talk with you if you'd like to schedule a chat (link to my booking form).
Tagging @Xe and @StarlitSky4762 since they might be more familiar with the status of what BPD-related discussions, sharing circles, or other group activities either already exist or are in the works.

I hear you on the difficulty in getting any kind of support for BPD. I'm glad you reached out here.
It's really difficult when no one understands or runs away at the slightest hint of any symptom, I'm sorry you have faced that kind of treatment or invalidation, it's so damaging.
For 1 on 1 support, you can browselisteners here, https://www.7cups.com/BrowseListeners/ click> More filters and select the topic BPD to see matching results.
For virtual group support, we do have a Personality Disorders Room, which is opened for various discussions throughout the week. Subscribe to this to know when it opens: Page 1 of 1: Navigating Personality Disorders Community and Events [MasterThread] - 7 Cups Forum
We also usually keep the room open for support purposes after these discussions.
Additionally you will need to complete chats (30 messages each) with 5 different listeners to unlock topic specific group support.
We have many people who struggle with BPD here, even in Support Room 24/7 and Sharing Circle, I hope you find some understanding <3
@FranklyAvalon
