I feel really horrible right now. I feel a lot of anxiety, almost like I could explode. I feel trapped in my current situation and don't know what to do. I have so much pressure on me from my family and having a very hard time dealing with it.
I know the pressure of what that is like. I recently also started dealing with really bad anxiety myself, wich lead me to depression. I made family members, girlfriend and friends treat me different. I know times are hard but from my experience, You will find peace no matter the situation. Remember You are always in control. Look for the help when you can't deal with it cause you will find it even from yourself.
I've been worse, but I've been better... Nothing is going right. I feel like my boyfriend doesn't love me anymore, I'm questioning if he ever did. My mom and I are on bad terms, and I've been breaking out. I'm feeling so ugly. Inside and out.
I am a 42 year old woman who has two sons of my own one is 16 almost 17 and one is 5 almost 6 and a step daughter who is two days younger than my 16 year old. I have been with my husband for 3 years married for two and sometimes I feel very little attention is given to me by my teenagers by my husband it seems like I speak and no one listens! I feel that the intimacy as in cuddling and holding each other , holding hands and just that intimate feeling of a pat on the butt when you walk by your touch of the shoulder or a kiss when you walk by is starting to diminish my self esteem has gone down hill and I feel empty, anxious and irritable I do not have very many friends because I am NOT a trusting person I have tried talking to my mother but since my mother has been there pretty much all my life and seen my past relationships it is hard for her to understand because she looks at my husband as being the greatest man ever live next to my daddy so basically I feel I have nowhere to vent and when I try to talk to my husband he just kind of argues everything off like if I complain that all the hand towels were used up and placed in a pile in the bathroom his reply would be why didn't use them all I didn't put them there even though thats his spot to put his towels when he takes a bath or if he fills the automatic scooping cat litter box and it's too full well i didn't fill it all the way up and it's just completely frustrating I didn't know where else to turn so I thought maybe something like this would help me. I have tried counseling but all they want to do is bring up childhood experiences relationships with my father which was extremely bad so I have found that counseling is not a good thing for me! I guess I just need somebody to talk to and listen that may have some advice from similar situations
Hello lostsomewhere73,
You wrote that in counseling all they wanted to do wasbring up childhood experiences and relationships with yourfather, which was extremely bad.Because of that you think that counseling is not a good thing for you.
I was wondering if making things more clear about your past awful experiences could help you understand your present negative feelings andrelationships struggles, therefore you would graduallyfeel better?Of course, you would first have to face the horrible things that you went through and probably you would have to accept the pain that you got at the time before you can process and work it out.
I can easily believe that the life experiences and relationships that we get duringour whole childhood mold the personnality that will become once we are adult. In that case, to understand our early past and relationships could really help us to workout and sortout our present struggles... even if the price to pay is sometimes a transitory huge feeling of pain.
Does all that make sense to you in any way?
I wish you the so very bestlostsomewhere73, I deeply hope that my wordshave not hurt you in any way, as you seem to be an extremely sensitive person, which I see as very positive actually, even if you maybe feel your sensitivity as a burden sometimes.
Take great care and please be safe.
Please forgive me my bad English (I am French).
I meant "I can easily believe that the life experiences and relationships that we get duringour whole childhood mold us and determines the personthat we will become once we are adult."
A but annoyed.Apparently I fulfilled all my credits in a shorter amount of time than the college deems acceptable to graduate and have to now take 2 online courses to graduate in May....alrighty then.
I feel like absolute shit right now.
Distraught and discouraged. I feel like I'm a bad sweater or something. I'm making the biggest concerted effort in years to try and get things together and get my life back on track heading to somewhere good. And everything I'm working on at the moment has been like a string that you pull and it just unravels intoanother hole (MORE holes or BIGGER holes.)I've got a great counsellor and a great husband and a great GP, I've got support and I want so bad for things to improve and I'm doing the best I can - but stuff just keeps happening that just crushes me. I don't want to slip into self-pity and I don't want to lose any momentum, but I feel like despite my best efforts to keep afloat and get to a safe habour I'm drowning all the same. I'm just a sad, drowning, bad sweater.
I'm crying .. I remembered too much things while talking to one of the listeners ..
I feel incredibly distanced from everything. I can't express my true feelings. I feel invisible and unlovable. I feel totally lost and alone and wish I could stop my thoughts before I act on them.
Rightnow? I don't know. There's some sort of emptiness inside of me and it won't go away. So many thoughts are running through my mind and it seems like there's no way out of it. I'veopened up to one personrecently who has become my biggest support system. Hestopped me today at school and asked me how I was but wasn't falling for the "I'm really good" line. You know something's wrong when someone else notices. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like there's no way to escape any of this...
Hello Mackenzie1,
I think that the best thing to do is to accept and welcome the emptiness you are talking about, as anyway you feel it. To try to resist it may make you feel worse instead of better... And actually, how could it be possible to fight emptiness? I would suggest you to gently go and face it, very gradually.
I know, easier said than done, but does that make sense to you in any way?
Wishng you the so very best,
Gilles
I feel, all at the same time, empty, anxious, and depressed. An interesting combination, to say the least. Most of all, I feel lost. I do not know who I am, who I really want to be, and what I want in life. For the last couple of weeks, it seems that I have been going through my days merely existing. It is not a safe place for me to be, as certain thoughts become stronger in these times of strife.
