Okay, I am not a fan of the August heat. But, it has been better than July. Why is it the weeds thrive but the shrubs and lawn die. The irrigation system never waters the way that it should, so I spend the day watering and weeding. However, I do take my summer medicine everyday and it helps. My summer medicine? Ice cream!

@caringShoulder1357
Hello! 💜 That's a cute Snoopy GIF that I haven't seen before. 😊 People disliking the summer heat has been a recurring topic in these check-ins for the past couple months, so you're definitely not alone in feeling that way!
Sorry that the lawn care has been so annoying. I asked AI out of curiosity and apparently that's a real thing that some weeds have an easier time surviving summer heat compared to shrubs/grass for various reasons (i.e. deeper roots that reach deep water in the soil and don't dry out as quickly, different type of photosynthesis, faster seed production, higher tolerance for dry or packed soil)
@QuietMagic
💚 How has your week been so far?… Busy~ Lots of running around between regular Work stuff, errands/tasks, Fitness classes, & appointments~
💛 What's a challenge you've been working through lately?… While I’m great with finances, I definitely LOVE to Shop!~ I always have… And I’ve found myself spending & buying Waaaayy more than I need lately, especially over the course of this Summer... So definitely a challenge in simply telling myself “No”, “You don’t need that”!.. Gotta work on that. 😵💫 🛍️💰
Thanks for the Check-in!
@PoliteOcean The question you should be asking yourself is if it's something you need. Everything purchased has a purpose even if you don't use it until 15 years down the road. 😂🤣 It'll come in handy one day. Watch and see 👀. Lol. In all serious...
"You don't need to buy that!! ..............
Buy this one in stead!"
Bwwwaaahhhaaaahhhaaaa. 😂😂😂

@YourCaringConfidant
oh my goodness… lol.. I would say about 50% (or more really), I do Not need! lol… 😂
And P.S…. I in fact DO have things (with tags STILL on), from 15 years ago!!! 😩

@PoliteOcean
Sounds like you're having a really productive week 💜 I'm sure if we combine our efforts, we can convince them to stop making clothes 😊
I've been buying a lot more clothes than usual for the past year or so and feeling weird about it every so often, but have been giving myself permission to do that as long as I stay within some constraints in terms of 1) waiting X weeks between shopping sprees, 2) having an upper limit for how much I'm willing to spend each time
My week has been ok. I'm on new meds, so still adjusting to them.
I'm noticing that finding a balance with everything going on in my life currently is my biggest challenge I'm working on
@CelticStar7
Hi there 💜 I remember you sharing about a week ago about your diagnoses changing. I guess the psychiatrist changed the meds around in response to that? How has it felt so far compared to the previous meds?
@QuietMagic
Hi! My week so far has been very challenging, but productive and satisfying. I am getting ready to go back to uni, and I have to squeeze in appointments for my accommodations. However, I am happy that I am back to getting things done like I used to instead of just sitting around. My real challenge this week is actually returning to campus after a health break to finish my senior year. I am excited for the change, though.
@yourcyberfriendmira
Hi, welcome to 7 Cups! It sounds like that's a big change and there's a lot going on with prepping for uni and getting used to doing things again after the health break--but then it also feels good to be productive/accomplishing things and feeling like you're starting to return back to your old self. 😊
Are things feeling better health-wise after the break? (And are the accommodations related to the health break? It crossed my mind that maybe that's a new challenge or something extra to worry about that wasn't there before even prior to the health break.)
@QuietMagic
💚 How has your week been so far? My week has been busy lately, with donating plasma, picking up prescriptions, running errands, and more.
💛 What's a challenge you've been working through lately? Making it through the day with very little sleep and 12 oz of coffee, without feeling too anxious.
If you prefer not to answer these questions, feel free to say hello, ask for a hug, or share anything else that's on your mind. 🩶
GOOD NEWS: Got a used iPhone 11 along with accessories early this week, went to a job fair and ended up with a couple prospect. Hoping someone calls me back after applications get reviewed :D :)
@safeandsoundta
The plasma donation is really generous! Glad that things haven't felt too bad/anxious despite the busyness and sleep deprivation. And that's great news on the potential job application targets. 😊 I assume the iPhone was a lot cheaper than trying to get a newer model but it still works fine?
