Subcommunity Updates
Hello everyone!
I am here to announce upcoming developments and changes to subcommunity leadership roles. After careful consideration, my team and I have decided to take some necessary steps to enhance leadership support for safety, quality and engagement purposes.
1. Forum mentor track merge with Community Mentor
Reasons for merging:
Both forum and community mentor tracks share commonalities and one vision, which is to create inclusive and safe spaces for community members to find and receive support in the forums. Therefore, we have decided to streamline and simplify the application process by combining engagement and moderation into one training to have one mentor track moving forward.
2. Farewell to “Welcoming Team Member” and “Support Session Leader” badges
We have added “Welcoming” to the Project Agent role and, since group support roles have evolved, the necessity of the Support Session Leader badge has significantly reduced. Leaders are kindly requested to use dashboards to keep track of usernames of team members who are actively involved in leading chatroom discussions.
We acknowledge and understand that changes may not be favorable but we have to make some decisions by keeping the broader or larger picture in mind in order to do the best for all.
Please note:
Our ambassador @Mel will be relaunching the Community Mentor/Teen Community Star role soon. All mentors/teen stars will be guided and supported by our team with the transitions!
We are excited to see the new changes unfold this quarter (end of April) and we look forward to extending our support to many more community members.

Hey,
dk if it's a right place but speaking about updates can you 1) make the 'would you help someone' monit not pop up in the middle of a talk? Or it pops out 10 seconds after you start reading a thread. It's like you're actually busy with helping and the app is insisting on helpining in someone else...
2) the 'care for yourself' monit - I guess it's okay but it also pops randomly sometimes, how does it even recognize you're tired if you listen your daily basis and say the usual things. It's kinda triggering because you send something and it pops out automattically.
3) I was writing about the summary page and it slightly changed - I mean can't it be like a card of paper. There are some badges, courses, achievements involved - if it could be summed up in and understandable and way it would be more motivational for the listeners because it actually is something.
4) I've heard the app looks different now on the phones, what about the site, would it be updated too?

How would these changes affect the current leaders ? Will it also affect the monthly role quotas and requirements?

Hello Sun. For those who are already forum mentor in their respectives subcommunties, the forum mentor badges will be swapped with community mentor badge. This will include Needs Reply leaders too. There will be a monthly quota of 10 forum posts.
