As 2025 begins to wind down, we’re looking back at our toolkits. Let’s build a collective list of the things that actually worked for us this year. These tips can help others beyond 2025.

What is one small thing you started doing this year (even imperfectly) that made your daily life better?

Is there a specific song, album, or podcast that helped?

What is something you stopped doing, or a "No" you finally stood by, that protected your energy in 2025?

Share any other tips or life lessons in the replies below!

@SoulfullyAButterfly

What helped me in 2025, was making my boundaries clear.

Saying no, when needed.

Making time for myself.

Saying yes to more opportunities.

💚😊

@Amanda84 Well some was great some good but not great. The one small in a sense as it for me was big and that was sticking up for myself by people I know and I got up and left. I have worked extremerly hard to reverse my the way I think in regard to negative thinking and have changed it to positive thinking which I am proud of.

SPecific songs, ablum or podcast that helped..Mainly listening to a song sang many years ago by singer Donny Osmond. Although the words in it is basically from a guy to a girl the fact that the title is Life Is what you make it. For me I looked at the title and made it to reflect on life. Life is in fact what we make it. It need not be from a guy to a girl but rarhwe we can make our life be anything we Wanna it to be. It can be great, good, happy or sad. Its us who choose the life we want  it to be.

My family is one that I have had loads of trouble sayin’ no to and would cave in and give to them but am learning to say no when its impossible to do and stoped allowing myself to feel guilty when sayin’ No. I have fallen a couple of times but work on making it more consistent in the new year.

✨ One thin I have seen with myself including my children we will get clues from a person how they are but we ignore it with the thinking of maybe its just us making it be more than what it is. We need look at it and get away from that person or persons b’fore its too late. Many of us underester mate ourselves rather than go with what our gut tells us.

One small thing I started doing this year was sticking to a loose daily routine, even when I couldn’t follow it perfectly. It really helped ground me during busy weeks.

Music-wise, I leaned a lot on chill playlists while studying—they made long hours feel less overwhelming.

I also got better at saying no to things that would’ve burned me out, especially when I needed rest or study time. Still learning, but it definitely protected my energy.

Biggest lesson this year: consistency matters more than perfection.

✨ What is one small thing you started doing this year (even imperfectly) that made your daily life better?
tiny habits actually make a lot of difference for me! trying to do even a tiny bit better day by day.

✨ Is there a specific song, album, or podcast that helped?
 I like Jay Shetty's interviews! but there are quite some more too.

✨ What is something you stopped doing, or a "No" you finally stood by, that protected your energy in 2025?
to stop hanging out with the people who drained my energy.

i think never lose hope to find your people, the ones whom you actually can feel comfortable and be yourself around, if you can't find them, maybe you're searching in the wrong place

I really liked the christmas songs this year which was refreshing to listen to

I stopped spending money all the time, I stopped eating chips so much

I think getting to be on 7Cups is the best tip for being social and getting help.

The rest is bananas but guess its conditioned so

Some things that I do is that when I got super overwhelmed or stressed and almost lost it, if I could I would outside and take a walk not long just like 10 15 minutes clearing my head. Another thing and I'm not trying to push anything to anyone but I would go and get a bible and pray to God. I don't know though those are just things I did that kind of helped me a little

@SoulfullyAButterfly
- I started looking into things I enjoyed doing as a child/teenager without thinking what and how much will they be of use for my future, things like painting, dancing or going for local events, just enjoying the moment for what it is, not having to think I have to do something for someone and spend all this time preparing for it as if I'm constantly volunteering or working.

- the trio: Giulia Crossbow, Franchino er criminale and Larossa food youtube channel helped me find the joy in cooking again, I don't feel like a lonely and boring task anymore and I also don't feel like my generation is powerless, they managed to create something special of quality and value around the food industry.

- I stopped wasting my time trying to push my father and brothers to socialize and open their mind to the world as if its my duty to nurse them or just be a daughter and sister to them. If they don't care about family and spending quality time with me, I don't care to use all my energy to make it happen, if they don't care for a relationship I won't go looking for one either. I stopped talking or checking on them. especially, if they verbaly abuse me, I just go away or ask them to leave. I don't care anymore to fix after their mistakes I let them do it and when the time comes that such mistakes will effect my living condition than I'll look into different living arrangements.

- Find your space outside of the family or the work enviroument, look for activities you like and you'll start find similar people to yourself. Doing meditation, therapy or the 7Cup activities and communitie but it's good to have something also concrete in your surrodings, normal real life relationships. You need both.
