Holiday Paws! (Submissions Closed)
Hi all!
I am so excited to announce this event. Most of our community is an animal/pet lover community, so it is only fitting that we host the official 7cups Pet Show: Holiday Paws!
How will it work?
You will submit photographs of your pets or of any pets that you know under various categories.
Submissions will be open from now until December 23rd at 11:59 pm EST.
A voting form will be shared on the 24th of December at 1:00 pm EST to vote for each winner of each category.
Winners will be announced on December 30th.
Everyone who enters their pets into the show will receive the Winter Events badge.
Anyone that wins their category will receive the GlitterStar badge.
The categories will be:
The pet with the most appealing eyes
The pet that is best at helping us to cope
The pet with the best fancy dress
The pet that would make the best 7 Cups mascot
The pet that the judge most wants to take home
All submissions will also be entered into the category of the best pet overall
What are the rules?
When selecting an image-sharing program, please make sure that it does not share any personal information.
Only one submission per category - though you can enter as many categories as you wish.
All pets are welcome including pet rocks!
Please use only pictures of pets that you own or know. (no google images, etc.)
How do I get started?
Please post all your submissions into the relevant category/(ies) post(s) you are entering your pets into below this post. It would also be great if you could give a little background information on your pet.
Adding Pictures
Step 1: Find a picture you want! If you want to upload a screenshot, you can put it on imgur.com or any other photo sharing app and get the link from there.
Step 2: Start making forum post! You can do this on app or browser
Step 3: Click the picture icon on the top bar (just above the text box) when you click reply on this thread.
Step 4: Add the picture you want! Make sure the link ends with a file name (such as .png .gif. img .jpeg etc). For Imgur, if you copy the wrong link you can just add .png at the end. If you've got the link from google images, you can get the right link by clicking "view image" (the link will then be at the top of the page).
This is Brady. He passed away a couple of months ago. He was a very empathic soul. I can recall one time when I was uncontrollably crying (I don't remember why now -- it was a long time ago), and he realized I was upset. He just gently came up to me, licked me once very gently, and proceeded to cuddle up against me. He was super aware and knew just how to comfort me in that moment. It was the strangest, sweetest thing I've ever experienced with a dog. Therefore, I nominate him for:

This is Gurgi. After I finished putting this Winter coat on him, he just sort of laid there comfortably paralyzed lol. It wound up being too small on him. Looks like he has a fro lol. I nominate him for: "Worst Dressed"? 😜 lol. Okay, I comically nominate him for:
"The pet with the best fancy dress."

Next up we have April. I had to take my small Christmas tree down and replace it with this Christmas tree cat bed because the cats are brats and insisted on destroying my poor tree lol. At least she's enjoying it. April: "The pet that no one wants to take home." 😅 Jokes aside, she's actually a very extroverted cat who loves attention and loves people. Doesn't get along with other cats though. Also very much a diva. Well, that much is obvious:

And last but not least is my cat, Eva, who passed away last year. She was the cat that I had the deepest bond with. The sweetest and most gentle kitty I've ever known. She is sorely missed. This is her as just a kitten. She was actually April's mom. Not sure what to nominate her for, so I'll just say:

@CheeryMango Here are some of my favorite pictures of my kitties. ♡Emerald & Kit Kat♡ They are truly the cutest. They are lovable and playful and always there for me and the family when we need cuddles! I love my little grey babies! 😍

They guard my home and me. They will bark at drivers that pass by even though they know they're not coming here. The driveway is a long curvy path on private property, so we'd see first if they were heading our direction. Regardless, they make great homebodies so if you are even home alone or not there at all. Having protective animals let them know there's a chance someone is there. It minimizes a potential chance of there being a crime along with our hidden cameras.

Thank you all for sharing your pet's pictures with us. I loved all of them. They are soooooooo cute and adorable. They are so comforting and friendly. You all made my day. Thank you for being amazing and being wonderful pet parents.
This is my black Labrador retriever Maisy! We share the same birthday so that’s how we knew she was the perfect pet for us! Here is her entry for most appealing eyes, she’s playing up the puppy dog eyes here looking for me to share my lunch!

I think Maisy my black Labrador would make a perfect mascot for 7Cups! Me and Maisy share a birthday (although there’s 23 years between us) and she’s always so full of energy, smiles, and thinks everyone she meets is her best friend. Here she is in her cone after getting emergency surgery on her leg still showing off her big goofy smile! Her ability to always smile, and be so happy would make her the perfect mascot 🥰
