The main factor in my life I contribute to 7 Cups is my patience. As a listener you come across people of all walks of life in such different situations, and a lot of the time emotions are high. You learn to wait, to understand, and how to be patient even when you're frustrated and want to walk away.
Listening to people has made me more thankful and Appreciateful.
See things from different perspective.
Has helped me grow emmotionally.
Thank you 7cups, for meeting amazing people and make me a bit happier every day
This is a wonderful community. Thank you 7 cups for making my journey here a positive one.
Submitted on the form! Basically though, 7 cups makes me feel wanted and needed, something I don't get a lot of in everyday life without it. I feel a lot better about myself most days, even though things are still hard for me. I appreciate 7 cups and everyone on here.
Though I haven't quite been here a year yet (working on it!) I've learnt quite a few things both about myself and about others; about patience, tolerance and most importantly how your effort in listening and hearing someone out CAN actually make a difference in someone's life and I've seen this over and over now and it is one of the most amazing feelings ever!
My journey has only yet begun and I plan on contributing and giving as much of myself to the community as I can and really looking forward to working alongside each and every one of you amazing people! ![]()

Being a listener has given me a sense of purpose. It allows me to follow my dream of becoming a councellor, even if it is just on a computer screen. Doing this is something I actually feel good at.
It alsoimproves on the skills I already have in regards to listening.
I feel wanted and needed here, and I am beginning to feel more of a connection to others on here.
Listening to people has helped me to somehow put things in perspective in my life. By helping other people, I've helped myself. It has helped me to grow emotionally. Also I have felt less alone.
Thank you 7 Cups of Tea for me a much more sensitive person today. I have grown as a person after joining this community as a listener. Everyday we need someone to fall back on and at the end of the day this community which is active 24/7 extends its hands to support various individuals living on this beautiful earth. I wish to help as many people as I can here. Let this community grow and let us teach the world to love themselves the way they are.
I haven't been here for a year, but the last few years have been pretty significant in terms of changes for me. I'm currently more free. Around this time last year I had only been a few months out of what felt like a bad dream. I was actively looking for whatever support I could get and was getting frustrated with a huge lacking area of what was available. Certain topics were too difficult for me to discuss without dwelling on them.
I still get down, and I don't think that's ever going to change completely as it simply goes along with having something like hereditary angioedema. Those times are less frequent though. I'm not stuck dwelling all the time. I'm still looking to things that can improve my situation, but they aren't taking as much time. I can think about the future a bit easier, and I plan on that continuing to improve.
