Calling all current therapists on 7 Cups! You're invited!
We are very excited about the upcoming addition of clinical services at 7 Cups (learn more here). As a therapist and a listener, you may have questions about how these changes affect you...or, perhaps you want to know what opportunities may soon be available to you. And, we'd love to hear from you about your thoughts on this new venture, so that we can best meet the needs of the clinical community.

I'm in! I will be there to learn more about the changes coming to our community 
One thing I would like to know more about is the various levels of certification that will be accepted for clinicians providing therapy through 7 Cups. For example - social worker, psychologist, counselor, etc.
If this could be addressed in the conference call, or here on this thread, I would appreciate it

Absolutely. We'll talk about it on the call. The quick answer is that any mental health provider can be included in the community. Only licensed providers, or those qualified to provide independent therapeutic services according to the regulations of your jurisdiction, will be included in the directory. I hope that makes sense...we'll discuss more!

When you mean licensed you mean those who have uni studies (bachelor level) finished or something more? That's one thing I'm also very interested in approaching on this call - if you are planning to differentiate in any way those with lots of experience with those who are just beginning their journey as psychotherapists/counselors etc.

We'll talk about it! There are going to be a variety of ways to be involved as a therapist on 7 Cups...from those still in training to those who have been in the field for a long time.

Members can join, though the content of the meeting is going to be really geared to therapists and soon-to-be therapists, so it may not be totally all relevant for members. If there is a lot of interest, we may also hold a similar meeting to field questions from members about these initiatives.

Lara, what about para counselors trained under pastoral counseling ? Some have undergone formal training and were awarded certificates and were involved in teen and family counseling . Are they considered counselors or social workers?
