Mansfield Park by Jane Austen

I just finished reading Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. Has anyone here read it? And what are the opinions especially on the cousin marriage? I wasn't very happy about it but given it's the 18th century it's understandable. The book was very nicely written though. The first half moved slowly but the second half was quite gripping. I loved all the characters and their transitions of thoughts.

@Creamyyy

Jane Austen is an incredible writer. I have not read it but I actually have had it on my book list to buy for a long time. For the reason that everyone says it's one of her most controversial books. So, I'd love to see what it's about.

I actually love slow-burners! I feel it keeps a nice pace. Gives something to look forward to! Have you read any of her other books? 💛💫

@innateJoy9602 I've read Emma which was really nice too. I'm planning to read a couple of others as well. I like her work quite a lot.

@Creamyyy I think the best one is Pride and Prejudice! I love older novels, the language is so smooth.
