What if... ~Alternate storylines 📖
(Come on out, bookworms! I know many of you are lurking in the corners of 7 cups, probably with your nose buried in a good book! 📚)
Hey bookworms and readers, it's me, Luminity✨. One thing about me you might want to know, I love love love reading. My favorite genre is psychological thrillers (mostly).
Isn't there always this one moment while we're reading a book and we think, what if this had turned out differently?
What if she had chosen him instead?
What if he had pulled the trigger just a second before?
What if she had just run away?
What if he had gotten to see the letter?
What if...
So in this thread, we discuss our favorite what ifs, and... Answer them.
Let your imagination run wild into an alternate storyline of your choice, deviating as far as you want from the writer's chosen plot, unleash your hidden writing potential, and satisfy that thirst for a better ending.✨
We're in this together! Here's a simple format for you to write out your what if-
Name of book (~Name of author)
⚠Disclaimer⚠ : if you do not want spoilers for above mentioned book, please do not read beyond this point.
(👆🏻Include this in case your what if involves a major plot twist of the book, which is very probable, so as to not unknowingly ruin someone's reading experience!)
What if...
Your alternate storyline/plot, in para form or a simple outline.
Invitation for others to add to your plot or comment with their own (if you want them to)
Let's have some fun, readers! 📖✨📚

WHAT IF
(Harry Potter)
What if Voldemort had chosen Neville instead of Harry Potter(according to the prophecy, I think this was discussed somewhere)
wdy guys think?
@SkilledChatter
Yessss i remember that it was definitely discussed. Well then the whole series would be called
Neville Longbottom and the Sorcerer's Stone
Neville Longbottom and the Chamber of Secrets
Neville Longbottom and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Neville Longbottom and the Goblet of Fire
Neville Longbottom and the Order of the Phoenix
Neville Longbottom and the Half Blood Prince
Neville Longbottom and the Deathly Hallows
😭😂🤪
Or maybe the plot would change entirely, because Neville is not Harry, he would've reacted very differently to the whole situation overall. 🤔
@SkilledChatter
It would be about the same except dumbledore wouldn't be able to drop Neville off with abusive muggle relatives and turn a blind eye to the abus3 Harry was clearly going through and calling it "protection" and "familial love". Fun!
@serenereading
Yess great insight 😯
@Luminity125
Ohhh my favorite topic; Books.
What if:
(Six of crows)
Kaz had actually chosen Inej and inej had stayed in Ketterdam?
Matthias never died?
What if:
(Five Survive)
Oliver never died?
We actually learn if Red visited Arthur at the end?
(I would go on for hours but I ll stop here lol)
What do you guys think?
@cheerfulKiwi1776
Yayy those are goooood 🤩
Yess i soo wanted to know if red would go to meet arthur 😭

What if Anne Frank had survived WWII?
@jesusredeemedme2425
Ohaha thats true. Thats a great what if
@jesusredeemedme2425
Ohh she'd probably be a legendary personality with lots of fan following. Also... A bit embarassed that her personal diary was read by the world 😳
But then again maybe if she was alive she might have edited her entries to be strictly informational and maybe it wouldn't have had such great emotional depth. But we'll never know... 🤫
@Luminity125
