Hello my fellow book-lovers and cupsers <3 I hope you all are doing well today.

I was just wondering... what are some books you haven't read yet, but would really love to read? In short, what books are in your 'book wishlist'?

I would say some on my wishlist are 'The Yearling' by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings as well as 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings' by J. R. R. Tolkien. (Of course there are so many more <3 but those are a few I'm really excited to read)

Haha yes I relate a lot with the attention span thing when it comes to reading :') but that's okay <3 I think Paulo Coehlo wrote 'The Alchemist' right?

Also about that story I'm writing (the 'old dusty book' one), I'm still working on it lol, it's taking me a while because of school.. and procrastination.. and just feeling low on creative 'juice' :') I've been (generally) quite unmotivated to write recently (except when it comes to haiku) but hopefully I'll be able to really get back into it soon <3

Just thought you should know :')

oh no I get that buddy :( the creative juices are so moody sometimes :/ it's ok to take your time Ni buddy 🤗 im rooting for you and know you'll do awesome whenever you can write some more!

How did you begin working haikus?😮 me wants to try also but don't know how to start

@Optimisticempath

No I haven't read it but I think I'd really like to <3 although I am not sure my mum would let me get a copy :( My mum usually checks the books I read before I read them haha..

My 'haiku story' is a little complicated hehe but in short I was first introduced to haiku about two years ago while I was taking a creative writing class in school. I didn't really fall in love with it then, at the time I was still... discovering myself, I guess? Not sure if that makes sense (I am still discovering myself hehe) and part of that was learning that I love writing so much.. so at the time I didn't know that about myself, so haiku wasn't really very special to me.

But now that I know that writing is an essential part of me, in a way... I began trying different styles of poetry and... haiku of course came to mind <3 so... I just wrote.. and wrote and wrote and wrote and now I'm loving haiku so much hehe

I've found that after I read a ton of great haiku, especially ones by Matsuo Bashō, I write better haiku. So I suggest as you're starting out, and even as you begin to write more haiku, keep reading... reading... reading... and observing how the masters do it... and writing... writing.. and you'll get better at it <3

Sometimes you might have a thought... an idea for a haiku but once you try to fit it into the 5-7-5 pattern it doesn't work. At least that's what happens to me sometimes so what I do, I keep thinking about it and... sort of rearrange the wording... maybe I change a word here, remove a word there, add a word.. and just keep playing around with it until I get something I like. Also sometimes I write a haiku and then come back to it a day or two later, and I make some changes.

I'm sorry for the long reply but I hope this helps <3

*sending hugs if okie*

@LoveMyMoonflowers I’m not someone who reads a lot never have been. I Miramar find what if do read on a whim so I normal already has or are reading the books I wanna. Right now I a, reading the dangers of smoking in bed by Mariana Enriquez. Although it sounds like it it’s not about sex but a bunch of short story which are described as “contemporary gothic” and “bewitching exploration of the dark inclination” I picked it mainly for the cover but it sounded cool tooimg-0770_1689435908.jpeg

Some books I’d love to read are The Hobbit and LOTR series, I have to wait another couple years to read The Hobbit though bc I will be reading it for school and my mom wants me to wait. I also want to read more of Sara Ella’s books, as I’ve only read one of her series (The Unblemished Trilogy, it’s an awesome series). I also want to read the next books in the Anne of Green Gables series. (If read the first and got halfway through the second). Also always on the lookout for any exciting books! :3

@ThatChristLover

Oh yes I would love to read some of those as well. I've only finished the first two books of the 'Anne' series and read a little of 'Anne of the Island' as well.

You have to read 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings' for school? That sounds like fun <3 My mom is a little skeptical about those ones because of the movies :') but I'm hoping to convince her I can read them soon, hehe.

Reading you all on this post makes me feel at home. Never met anyone who really apreciated Reading and on top of that the books I love.

You have mentioned Harry Porter, the Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, Anne of Green Gables, Sherlock Holmes, Narnia, Agatha Christie's mysteries... And my heart was jumping. As a saga/series lover I've read and enjoyed all of them. Only downside, it becomes an expensive habit because most of the sagas contain many books or sometimes they are not that easy to get, and once you are hooked with a saga, you must get every single book they release.

On my book wishlist I've got: "Happily ever After" from Keira Cass to finish The Selection saga, the whole Lunar Chronicles saga, Fire & Bood as the prequel from GOT series and all John Green books I can get.

Let me tell you that I love reading English editions, but that's not my native language and that's what makes it a bit more difficult to get the books I want the way I want them. 😅

@imaginativeField13

Hello friend!

I'm so glad we could help you feel more at home, with some fellow book-lovers <3 And yes some of those books are my favourites as well!

It's so true, sometimes when there are serieses it's difficult to purchase them ): or to get all of them, and sometimes we want to get them at the same time but it's difficult. I know this is the case, for me, when it comes to the 'Anne' series I have not been able to have the rest of the books yet, sadly.

I haven't heard of 'Happily Ever After' before :0 What's it about? <3

Wishing you a lovely day/night ahead! :)

It's the final book from "Selection" Saga: In a far future, America is reformed and the new nation is a monarchy, where the King to be prince chooses his wife through a selection process where all ladies around the nation participate. It's sort of a mixture of Divergent, The Hunger Games, The Red Queen, and fairy tales... :)

Ooh good question. I have about 40 books on my want-to-read list 😅 but the two I have waiting for me on my nightstand are The Temple of the Golden Pavilion by Yukio Mishima and Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. I'm currently reading As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner.

I loved The Lord of the Rings! I hope you enjoy reading them too 😊.
