"Treat yourself like someone you love"

This is my fav quote, and it changed me a lot, at the beginning I heard it from a self love influencer "spencer barbosa", then I was like I'll try to do it, to treat myself like someone I love, and I started loving myself truly thanks to that

@brightCloud9846 how we treat ourselves often influences how we treat others.

Self compassion is so important. This helps me https://youtu.be/mpVsedh2LNs

I like the quote that talks about how whatever we do every day matters more then what we do once in a while.

Well, I don’t REALLY like it because the lazy, judgemental part of me doesn’t want to do the work to change myself.

Yet when I think about it I realize I’ve been doing pretty good and have a lot to be just so thankful and grateful for.

I found a place to live after losing my house when my landlords needed their cabin back as they had another kid.

Even though I needed to stay in hotels and hostels and family wouldn’t take me in I’m seeing how I grew.

If family had just given me a place to stay I wouldn’t have the strength I have now or possibly my own place.

Even though it has stains on the carpet and no kitchen it’s private and in a good location and has the basics covered.

I need to walk a long way to do my laundry but it’s teaching me to hand wash most things and declutter and downsize things.

I need to wash my dishes in the bathroom sink but it’s teaching me to be grateful for cleanliness and good hygiene.

I need to ask others for help but it’s teaching me that no man is an island and that my social skills can actually improve.

My point is that every day I have a choice to hold onto the past or open the present and embrace creating my future.

This is difficult because I sometimes get stuck worrying, hurrying, fussing or rushing and need to reparent myself out.

So every day if I’m meditating, journaling, keeping a neat and tidy home and appearance, I just feel better.

Maybe not while it’s happening...I do suffer through most things a goodly amount. But it’s better then doing nothing.

Maybe not a lot better, but marginally, fractionally, infinitesimally more tolerable then doing nothing at all.

Wisdom is greater than knowledge, for knowledge is knowing something, wisdom is knowing how to use it.

Moving on is one of the greatest virtuous, for we unlike many things can move and adapt, a tree is rooted, we can move, a stone needs to be pushed, we can move freely with out friction or opposition.

Money is needed in life. Money talks and bullshit walks, if you cannot manage money, you won’t manage your monthly living. Money isn’t everything, but it’s like breathing on the gotta have it level.

Hi friend.

Thank you for your many quotes.

Well, because of lack of energy (ME/CFS) I cannot move outside my flat, so I'm more like a tree rooted. But i hope with the grace of Jesus Christ I can bear fruit!

The discussion we had above was deleted. That's how it goes.

All the best from Helga.

@Helgafy

i too pray in Jesus, but we must not put all the weight on him, especially if our heart is ignorant about his scripture, Jesus has 47 parables, it’s best to cite his parables if we indeed pray upon him, for the word Jesus has been debotched to the point of meaningless.

I stick with what he said in Matthew, for many will call upon his name, but it will be all in vain, as he said how much of us have done the will of the father? If none of us is as righteous as the scribes, we will not get into heaven, he did not come to abolish the law as he says but to fullfill. So if we would to follow Jesus we must keep the law atleast to an extant we emulate Jesus. No one can fullfill the whole law of 600 of them based on the Old Testament, but we must keep a portion of it as our cup. Jesus is a G, but he is not this all forgiving person when it comes to breaking his fathers laws, he is very strict as well. But thankfully he is the milk, as fulling the law wouod take the power of consuming the meat. Obviously we can’t handle the meat, so we must turn to Jesuses parables to do so.

Parables of the sower, the talents, the prodigal son, the leaven bread and all of his milk. Even Jesuses verses are not so easy, but with him we have a chance.

Like you said about Jesus and how to be saved, I think it isn’t that simple, again, John is not Jesus, and Paul is not Jesus, Jesus himself never said to worship him, nor pray to him, but to pray like him. He prayed to the father, through following scripture.

Not until the law is finished, i would be weary of one liners, and common rehashing quotes, those will give only false hope, like Jesus said, in the time of Isaiah’s, many called to him, there lips were with him, but their heart was far away.

Not to mention, Although Jesus beat out the Pharisees by having greater knowledge and made things easier for us, which i appreciate, I would be watchful for what Bible me and others get their scripture from, from 70 different versions, of editing and altering words, they’d lose the meaning, message and salt. This is why I’d stick to only a few, because like Muslims point out, there is too much tampering with the word as Moses says, thou shall not add to the word of God, nor take away, he who does will be destroyed.

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 4:3 Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

To believe in Christ, is to do what he asked, not what his disciples or apostate ask. And to do that. As Jesus says, we must keep the law of the father. Given to all the prophets. I wanna be saved, but I know I am not…yet. For both peter and Judas also said they believe in Jesus, but it was their actions that proved they were not his friends.

Similar to Bob Marley, do you like Bob Marley?

Yes wonderful friend - I very much like the rhythm of his music.

Where is grace in your believe? We can never do everything Jesus wants us to do. He died on the cross and payed the price there for our sins so that you and I can be righthous before God. I believe the Holy Spirit was with Paul and other when they wrote the Bible. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God, offered at the cross for our sins. (I wonder a little bit - from where do you get your thoughts about the Bible?)

Peter was of course a Christian - Jesus said Matt. 16.16-18upon this(his belief that Christ is the Son of God) Jesus would build his Church (not the Catholic church of course, but the whole Christian Church). But if you don't believe in what's written then it is not easy to discuss with you.

All the best from Helga.

I do believe in Jesus, parables of the sower is why I’m still inching closer to him, parables of the talents is how I’m getting by to him, parables of the lost coin is how I stay organize (to a degree) parables of the leaven is how I stay fresh (to a degree).

Parables of the tares and weeds is how I do away with unneeded habits and people who don’t have the best interest for me (to a degree), parables of the prodigal son is how I was able to analyze what was wants from needs, parables of the workers in the vineyard shows those tussles at work are true, parables of the lost sheep is me calling to God to take me back.

I know Jeuses but I keep going astray, too much has been taken from me to fully stand in a 100% degree like all the prophets, my only shnick is, the ordnance of the trinity does not match the prophets, Jesus is the middle man between both Jews and Muslims, and both have a decree of Him in different ways, both are consistent, the Bible’s we know are not consistent enough to make me fully believe in the statements of some of them.

For me my faith will be strengthened when I fully read the KJV, the Ethiopian orthodox version, (which has 20 books Catholics took out) and the Quran. For they tarry in word and scripture. Jesus himself should be shown respect to atleast know the truth about him, not from one mouth piece that comes from main stream churches which also is divided, Paul himself went through the same thing when he said…

1 Corinthians 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

1 Corinthians 1:14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

1 Corinthians 1:15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

1 Corinthians 1:16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Our words means little unless they are backed by action, deeds and conduct. Jesus the master teacher demands that as well, for once saved always saved is not illustrated by none of the prophets, nor of Jesus or Muhammad. That is blasphemous to Jesus himself, for whether one to believe He died on the cross, as the disciples stated and Paul, Timothy and Luke believed and upheld, or based on Muhammad and the lesser prophets who said Jesus (Isa) ascended to heaven (like Enoch and Elijah did) is not the tarrying debate, it is, did you get the message? And are you able to live it and embody it? That is no easy task either way. And on the latter way in a more practical yet mystical way, (Muslim teachings) their is merit, but in the former way base-line christianity) there is only want of belief and not actually doing what Jesus asked, wanting the blessing but not earning it. For Jesuses laws, statues and commandments are almost no different than prophets. Give a take a few that he sharpened. Jesus was a man who hated injustice, and he died on the the cross (or removed from the pike to ascension as Muslims say) as many millions of wrongfully convicted people were crucified on the cross as well. I do not thank those millions of people the Roman’s crucified, as they had no message, the thing that makes Jesus have my ear and to a degree of steadfastness, is what He wants me/us to do, not just what he went through, (which does matter) but the truth will be shown to those who look, and I’m still looking for the truth on Jesus. I dont have much time, so I hope I find Him and his true ways fast and hang on to him before I lose Him.

The Jews said he is not the son of God, did they get the message? or try to accept it and apply it? Almost entirely no. The Christian’s say he is the son of God, did they get the whole message, not just accept it but are doing it? I cannot say that is a entirely true, and did the Muslims get the message? Yes, they got two, both the Bible as their reproof, and Quran as their base, are they applying what Jesus/Isa said? More than most, for short, I don’t care who is the last messenger/prophet is Jesus or Muhammad, I care about getting the message, and accepting and applying it, which is not easy. But doable with practice, fasting and steadfastness.

Hi. In

5 "But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed."

Here it is given a prophety that Jesus Christ should suffer for our sake. I talked to a muslim woman and told her about the cross of Jesus Christ. She said she didn't believe in that a person could take away, pay for our sins.

Also - during the war in Syria, many Christians was beheded of IS-warriers. Why should they do that if they thought Christians were as them.
