pretty ok....😇
I can't trust anything not even myself anymore, like am i pretending things are fine when they're not so much that i can't see the truth or am i just being too paranoid?
I hate my life. All my school friends are getting engaged/married and I never stepped foot into the dating word at all. I been single for half my life and my parents aren't helping
I'm in my late 20s and I know my parents worry a lot about me. It just I been wanting to date for the last several years and that's just is a huge block for my parents. I want to be able to date but my parents don't want me to get hurt by "lemons" out there. But I have to go through a couple of "Lemons" before I could find a possible non-lemon and I know the signs to watch out for of abusiveness because of me researching it for my SimLit and of what I have heard at my program. So What should I do? Basically because they don't want me to get hurt by lemons its basically means going behind their backs to actually date since I don't have any other option.
I literally have no purpose in life besides my SimLit which is apparently really popular all over the world, being a support for a friend from (program) and that's it. I want to volunteer at these places: animal shelter (even before we lost the one dog-aka she passed away)-I wanted to volunteer here... parents worry about me wanting to clean up poop or vomit; gift shop at a retirement home (just so I can practise w/ money) the parents (mostly Mom) on the other hand would rather I be a Visitor for the elders in the retirement homes; and a differently-able therapy (?)centre's receptionist (Mom's worried about me talking on the phone don't have a lot of oppurntiines for that). None of the classes in this town seem interesting the majority of adult classes are fitness classes and they don't interest me at all.
Useful.
I have stopped pushing myself to work and live at the pace of what I expect a normal person to be, you know the full time 40hours a week plus keeping a home all nicely maintained, planning meals, social life activities etc.
Instead I have slowed down, something I have to do because I am trying to prevent nervous breakdowns. But the result is that leaves me feeling pretty useless.
I work part time now, a few hours a day, I do respite work. my job is often just being there so that families can take a little break, relax, do an activity or even just nap and switch off from taking care of their loved one who has Parkinson's or had a stroke, or is disabled in some other way and cannot be left alone.
I don't do much, I am just there. How can just being there feel useful? Today it sank in. Even though I am not running around like I was when doing residential care, or running databases or producing anything, I am being useful. That's good enough. Don't ask me what's next, how I will progress, when will I be ready to take on more. Because this is enough for me right now. With an anxiety disorder, my brain is already working over time. My body already being worn out with all the stress hormones pumping around it. I am useful and this is enough for me today.
