The Rain That Can Dance

Who is to say,

That the rain cannot dance?

Move against the wind,

Like a desolate trance-

Who is to say,

That the ground cannot grow?

Sifting in the earth,

With the sun and the snow-

Who is to say,

That the flowers can't shine?

Reaching up for a stars,

With a beauty so divine-

Who is to say,

That the moon cannot smile?

Laughing into the clouds,

And stay there a while-

Who is to say,

That the trees cannot run?

Down dusty old roads,

Reaching up to the sun-

...Who is to say,

That you cannot live?

When the dust in the stars,

Had decided to give-

Who is to say,

That the rain cannot dance?

I believe that they could,

If given a chance...
