I’m emotionally cheating on him
My ex (well more like someone I had a really strong connection with no relationship) texted me recently. After about two years of no communication. He added me on Snapchat and I was like ?? So I accepted and asked him what he was up to. I guess I’m just really bored with my relationship rn and the opportunity presented itself (on like the one day where me and my bf were having a rough patch. Like a sign). But anyways, me and my ex have been talking for like 2 days now. I’m half filled with guilt and the other half filled with excitement bc I really liked this guy, and it was never the right time or place for us to be together. I never knew I had it in me to be able to do this. But it feels so bad and yet so right at the same time? Idk
It all sums up to one question, is he (ex) worth possibly loosing him (bf)?
As a person who was recently cheated on and dumped out of the blue, my prayer for you would be to let your current boyfriend know that something is off in your current relationship. Don't tell him about the new guy, but about doubts you are having. Talk to him with maturity and grace about your confusion. Don't dump him when he believes that the relationship is perfect and he doesn't have a clue about how bored you are. This will break him and might traumatize him for life. Thanks.
I agree, if your bf is as good as you say he is then you should respect him enough to let him know if you are unsatisfied with the relationship. Also, if you feel guilty then you should look introspectively at what you are doing because somewhere inside you know already that you are hurting your current boyfriend and that he doesn't deserve that treatment. I'm not trying to be judgemental, just objective. Best of luck.
So I'm in a similar situation, but I'm the other guy. The ex and she's been emotionally cheating on her bf with me since the beginning and now it's turned into physical cheating. I have no qualms about it. This guy knew that I was trying to work things out with her from the beginning and she's been drinking a lot since she started dating this guy, (she doesn't drink around me because I don't drink) to the point of her getting arrested and he literally said "she's being silly" when she told him she's getting drunk because she's been sad. She also says her bf is a good guy and treats her well. But he's not very aware of her trauma. He's not at all protective of her. So in my case, I don't think she should tell him diddly. She should break up with him and just forget about him.
I see there’s different views but as a person that was the boyfriend in this situation yeah, just express to him something is off and you’re bored and go from there. If you feel it can’t be worked out then make your decision. But don’t lead the current boyfriend on. It’ll mess him up and anyone who’s willing to get with you while you’re with someone else..well you know the rest.
