It's killing me
I love my wife. But she is refusing to get the help she needs. We've spent nearly $2k in the last year alone to get her medical help and she refuses to do anything with it... The $900 cpap machine sits unused because she's not comfortable wearing it. The $1200 of tests for adhd/bi polar results have come in but she keeps avoiding going in to get the results and god forbid I bring up therapy for her mental/emotional abuse issues. And every day she calls our son "your son" and as soon as I'm off work I take over watching him so she can go somewhere quiet. Not that she does anything other than put him in his room with his tablet or something to distract him instead of reading or playing with him. She sits in the living room watching movies on repeat or gaming, but the house is a disaster. She keeps telling me she thinks I'd be better off without her but if I tell her that I can't lose her she says "sure you'd be mopey for a little bit but you'd get over it." I don't have the support to not be with her and I don't want to be. But it's killing me getting no time to myself, maybe five hours of sleep a night, all the financial burden on the house... I love my wife, but I feel like I'm a failure as a husband and father because I can't get her the help she needs and that I'm so tired when taking my son to the park or something like that. I love my wife, but it's killing me.
Hi @decisiveField23
Sounds rough and I'm glad to hear you haven't gave up on her despite that it must be very tough for you *thumbs up*
I'm sure it is tough for your wife as well, and if she knows better what best for her and your family, most likely she would take every opportunity to get help. Unfortunately, from what you told, she probably still have many doubts on therapy and herself.

All the best!
