You really don't know what it's like to be in someone else's shoes without waking a mile in their shoes. Differences in perceptions, and all the factors that make up our viewpoints and world beliefs, truly means that someone else may seem the same event from a different angle, and that's ok. We all need kindness to work through things where we're at in life.
