Expectations in Relationships!!!
"Accept each other's flaws. Now don't confused crossing a line with flaws. Two different things! But I often see A LOT of people complaining how their partner isn't what they wanted to. I mostly see this in females but I think is because we grow up with serious wrong ideals of men to be fair. Either way just accept each other. There is no prince charming and there isn't no princess. Not all guys are romantic, not all girls are needy , and so on and on Basically don't rely on stereotypes of relationships and realise we're all different
And it reminded me in relationship, one of the expectations we have is attaining perfect relationship. We get influenced and inspired by others perfect relationship and expect that we could also have it. But, do you think, what seems perfect to you for other are actually perfect from their viewpoint or vice-versa?
So, it is important to keep in mind we all are different and so our journey. We also should be mindful of the fact that we see what others want to show us. On Social Media, they may be sharing all lovely and happy images but probably they may also have some struggles like you may have in yours?
A relationship is broader than what people share and what we see. The struggles, bad phases are often hidden. When we see others positive sides, we think and question ourselves, Why isnt such relation for us too?
I believe perfection is in the eye of the beholders. What works for your partner and you, or your friend and you, it may not work for others. A relationship has other aspects too that we could admire. We couldnt rely on all good -good pictures sharing on social media or in gatherings while working to build our own castle of happiness.
We should define our happiness and what means more to us rather than others. We should build our relationships on what is important and better for us. Nothing else matters.
So, when you build a relationship with someone and you think to have the goals of it, what you use as a base? Do you look at whats good going in others relationships? Or what could be important and work for you and your partner/friend?

@ASilentObserver Thank you for this post.
We often are educated (and educate others) into having a misconception of perfection and of relationships. Perfect doesn't necessarily mean "flawless". Perfect, most often, means "complete". If you notice, many works of art which are considered perfect, happen to have flaws. One of the best examples I can think of is Kintsukuroi art. You take a piece of potteryware, you break it and repair it with golden resine. The perfection of the final result is in how complete it is after being repaired. Here are a few photos for reference:

For more examples: day can't be perfect without night, cold can't be perfect without warmth, and vice versa. Too much of one thing, be it good or bad, is too much. Can you imagine living in daylight 24/7? Or living in constant cold, or warmth? One of the most revigorating activities in winter, for me, is to go outside and feel the coldness in the air. There's a reason why many people in nordic countries go for a dip in the ice cold waters after a hot sauna!
The point is: a perfect relationship isn't a relationship where everything goes well and the person has no flaws. Reality check: you have flaws too. Everyone does. What is a flaw for me, might not be a flaw for you, and vice versa.
A perfect relationship can be a relationship where, with time and patience and lots of love you grow together and learn to accept each other's flaws and complementary differences.
This doesn't mean that every relationship will work. Often times, they don't work. Too much is too much. Please don't stay in a relationship where you're utterly unhappy after making efforts with no results. Especially if you're being abused in any way and their behaviour doesn't improve. Please stay safe.
This only means that sometimes we need to review our conceptions of important things. And relationships, all of them (family, friendly, love, work), are important. So I'm sharing a few thoughts about it with you all.
Have a lovely day.
@AiluraBlaze
woah, yes Blaze. I second your views and loved the way you explained the flaws and complete aspects. Absolutely amazing.
Definitely we do need to review our own thoughts, expectations towards a relation we working to build on. Thank you for sharing those valuable insights with us. It was really helpful. <3
@ASilentObserver I'm glad it's helpful! Thank you!

when we start comparing our life with others by seeing pictures which are there on social sites....comparsion make things more worse.. We start complaining about everything...
Totally true! We're all human but we should still know when the way someone acts is crossing the line vs. when excusing them because nobody is perfect
@lovelyEagle51
That is true eagle. I agree with you. One probably try to find that thin line of difference between the two and do as appropriate for building relationship stronger and better <3
@ASilentObserver yess!
@ASilentObserver I like how you adressed the gender stereotypes here as well.
For me, the perfect relationship would be with someone who understands my needs and my boundaries and respects them. And then in turn, they give me the chance to do the same. A perfect relationship would be one made out of love and respect, not fear. Both the people in the relationship should be supporting each other, not taking support all for yourself and leaving the other person in their time of need.
I say this from personal experience, a relationship made out of fear is no relationship. It is just torment. You'll be stuck there forever and ever. You need to braven it out a bit and take a stance. It could be for anything. I decided to take the stance to give him another go but made it VERY clear that I'd leave the first sign of it becoming like it was earlier (even if I might not. It was important to say it though) and now, it's becoming better again. Slowly but surely, it's becoming what it used to be earlier.
Thank you for sharing lovely thought with us.
