How Can You Make Your Life Simpler?

Over the years, you feel like you are burdened and life is too complex to be simple. You have a strong desire to experience the joy of life.

It took me a while to realize - Life is good when it is simple.

But who can make it simple? Should we hire a professional or create the 9th wonder of the world?

Before I tell you that I learned from my experiences that

The more you carry, the more you feel burdened.

More you think to be perfect, the more you procrastinate.

More options you have, more you feel confused to choose.

So here are a few ways to make your life simpler than ever -

1. Say, "NO"- You can't do everything even if you are capable to do. So, important for you to figure out what is important and priority for you. For the rest, say, "NO"!

2. De-Clutter Your Space - If something you are not using for a long period, it is time to clean it. Whether it is clothes hanging in the wardrobe or the books on your shelves. You can give it away to those who may need it today and could value more than you do right now. De-cluttering is a way to experience joy. Try to do it now and then.

3. Avoid toxic people - There could be a couple of more toxic people in your life who need to get kicked out of your life. But trying to be nice, you are not doing it and tolerating. As a result, you are getting intoxicated with their thoughts and acts. If you cannot eliminate them completely, minimize interactions with them. It will allow you to have more time to focus on relationships that matter to you or build some new good connections.

4. Do more of what makes you happy - Life is short. You never know what will happen next. So rather than living a life of regrets, live a life of joy. Do what makes you happy now and then. For example, I read. It makes me happy. Know what makes you happy.

5. Learn to let go and move on - You can't change the past, time to move on rather than regretting or feeling stuck in your past. Take your lesson and apply it to shape your present and future.

6. Take it slow - Life is so busy that you are rushing for anything and everything. Whether it is eating your meals or building relationships. Take your time because that is how you will capture and enjoy every moment.

7. Take one step at a time - Most of the time, you are looking to take a big leap but in the process, you consuming more time without any action and feel like life is not good. You are not progressing and don't know what will you do with this life. So, take one step at a time. You do not need to have everything in place to get started. Baby steps! It keeps you progressing.

Life is complex to the point you make it complex. Try to embrace simplicity.

Remember, you can do anything you put your mind into!

@ASilentObserver GREAT post! I have also come to find that life is just so much better when it is simple. Saying no was always so hard for me but it also gave me many burdens in my life. Over time I learned that saying no was okay and in doing so it gave me a much less cluttered life!

@ASilentObserver

Thank you for this post, it has so many practical reminders of regaining calm in daily life.

One additional thing that I find helpful -

Ask, don't guess. If you're confused or unsure about what someone feels or said to you, don't be afraid to ask. It's simple to deal with facts rather than trying to read their mind. It avoids unnecessary misunderstanding or conflicts.

@ASilentObserver - Hey all of you! One thing that would help in my life right now (not necessarily simpler) is to get into a schedule, a routine. And if that included therapy at the same time every every week - that sure would help! :( Platy
