One Thing I Learned From My Relationships Challenges

I have learned the power of agency. You have the ability to make your own decisions, your significant other does not have the right to control you or define who you are. You have the ability to say no. You have the ability to get yourself out of situations by telling someone about it. You are still your own person. I also learned that having certain emotions does not make you weak. Everyone has feelings and emotions and we deserve to express them. I learned what love is and what love is not. I've learned that life is too short to spend it living for someone else. I'm going to stop talking now
Communication is the key!!!
The more you communicate, the better your relationship. If you never tell each other how youre feeling, youll never understand each other. If you dont tell your partner when youre upset over something, youre bound to explode about it later as a fight. Under the communication umbrella is also keeping an open mind about your partners thoughts and feelings rather than judging them for them. Listen to your partner and do your best to understand where theyre coming from. Between talking and listening to each other, you can build the closest thing to a perfect relationship thats out there.

I agree with you, COMMUNICATION is important we often think that without talking our partner will somehow know what we are going through well unless he/she can read mind then (LOL) voicing it out and not keeping your partner in the dark can be a lot of help in a relationship.
For me it is about realizing that each relationship you have is different for example the Love we have for a child is totally different than the love we have for a friend or even a family member like a aunt or cousin also a spouse..
I have realized that no matter we say or do someone will always pick at something that we do or don't do or what they feel we should be doing based on their opinion .. we have to learn who is a positive in our life and who is a negative and needs to be removed if they are so toxic and bring nothing but pain .. we can still love them but from a distance.
I believe that communication is so important but some just are not able to do that so we have to learn to work around that.. usually by facial expressions , body language , sighing or eye rolling.. etc..
Silence is sometime needed because some just wanna argue and drag you down to their level, it is okay to stand your ground and defend yourself but when you see or hear someone just hammering away and not allowing you to speak or say how you feel then we have to disconnect and get away from them.. trying over and over again just does not change that persons way of thinking and believing.
Love always and Forgive but remember that you do matter and this is your life and if someone continues to hurt you then you are giving them permisson to do so... learn the limits and what you will allow and what you will not allow.
Say sorry and take accountabilty when needed and we all need too because we all can make mistakes .. sadly some feel they never do .
Find your own happiness within yourself and Love you first then you can love others even more..
When you look back in retrospect, you discover that their are no such things as mistakes!
Only learning opportunities that made you who you are today. As cliché as that sounds, it holds truth.
Nothing is permanent. You'll always be replaced .
I learned that you can't depend your happiness on someone else. You have to be the master of your emotions. Not the otherwise. Be with someone because you want to be with them, not simply because you NEED to be with them in order to feel complete.
Patience!
One thing I learned is that moving on really hurts at first but feels so amazing when you do. Relationships can be complicated but its up to the 2 individuals to care and love each other even if things aren't going smoothly. Fight for what you love and cherish it.

What did one thing your relationship challenges teach you?
I learned that you need to step away from the person you love and who loves you if they are no good for you and your mental health.
Apparently yes, for your own well being it is well to move away from "toxic" people, being careful in choosing what "toxic" really means. Moving away from weak people just because we cannot help them leads to natural selection of the fittest or the most happy and fulfilled.
Being open and honest with each other makes the relationship better support each other.
