True love is when...

- You feel safe

- You feel valued

- You are excited by them

- They are excited by you

- You feel a sense of clarity

- You feel included in their life

- You feel 100% safe saying no

- You are both individually functional

- Your happiness makes them happy

- Making them happy makes you happy

- They support you in the things that you do

- You feel loved, even when things are rough

- You love them, even when things are rough

- You feel you could trust them in a moment of crisis

- You never have to remind yourself why you love them

- When/if there are issues you both work to resolve them

- They encourage you to live your life independently from them

- You are able to communicate clearly about your wants and needs

- Fights/disagreements are always ended with a sense of safety and love

- You want to take care of them, but do not feel responsible for their well being

- They want to take care of you, but do not feel responsible for your well being

- Your embarrassing moments are less embarrassing with them than with others

- They joy that they bring you lasts much longer than the duration of your interactions

- Their embarrassing moments mean nothing to you and you just want them to feel good again

Finding someone you can truly be yourself around, who loves you no matter what, who you can trust with anything, who loves you for who you really are

True love is when no matter what, deep down, you want them to do their best and be their best self and you'll support them no matter what. It also means being able to rely on them to be your best friend, a shoulder to cry on and your one to go to but also knowing that you'll both be okay without each other
