Heyy, my boyfriend says that liking other girls pictures with bra on, is okay. Because he's not even doing anything to her or imaging stuff. He's just liking the picture. And I'm uncomfortable for him to do so. Is it a valid problem for me to be upset? I dont know.

For me it’s personal preferences. Like you don’t like coffee but he likes coffee. The real issue here is why you’re unconscious when he’s liking other girls pictures? Does it makes you feel insecure? Is it bcz it’s a indecent act?

For me I would not like it if my guy like or oogling over girl’s pictures in bra but if that what he likes to do then it’s up to him. Like, I don’t have the right to control him. But I would definitely tell him what I feel about it, like “I feel uncomfortable when you like other girl’s pictures. Is it okey if you don’t do it anymore?” If he can do it then cool. If not then I would respect that.

The small things matter

What may make you feel uncomfortable or upset is not under your control. So your feelings are always valid. How you and your partner react to those feelings can be controlled however. It's difficult to be vulnerable and let him know how you feel about it. It's not difficult to simply not hit the like button on a photo. If he knows it bothers you and is considering your feelings, it should be a no-brainer to just stop. If he's unwilling to simply stop and instead argues why it shouldn't be an issue, I would suspect that he doesn't want to feel controlled. If I'm right, then you will likely notice this showing up in other areas. It's an unfortunate effect from the way many males are raised - to be "the one who wears the pants." As a man who was raised with this mindset, I'm aware of how difficult it will be for you to get through to him. I didn't even realize I had so much unlearning to do until having a child and feeling an urgency to grow. And I still have much more to go. As you may notice, I'm on here trying to give advice rather than seeking the help that I need. That being said, I would suggest telling him something along the lines of, "I know it doesn't seem like a big deal to you, but it would mean a lot to me if you would stop liking those photos because it would show me that you care about my feelings." If he's still defensive after something like that, it'll be up to you to decide whether or not you want to wait it out till he finally has a self realization that leads to growth. It's unfair that the emotional burden will be placed on you and that you may be waiting for something that will never come. It's not unfair to look for better for yourself. If he's receptive and does stop, you can be looking forward to bringing up conversations about toxic masculinity that he may actually learn from and work towards strengthening your relationship. I hope this is helpful. Best of luck to you.

@tidyBeing3954 I told my boyfriend that whenever he watches porn, I feel uncomfortable because I consider it cheating. You know what he said? he said, "okay, I won't watch it then," and then I asked if that's okay with him, he said "of course, if it makes you uncomfortable, I'll stop doing it."

Respect and trust in the relationship go both ways. And I know a lot of guys aren't willing to give up porn completely. But because I set my boundaries and he respects it, I know that I am truly loved by this man, that's why we are going strong for 2 years now and more, and we are engaged. Sure your boyfriend isn't cheating, but if he cares and cherish you at all, he would at least consider your feelings and respect your boundaries.

well it depends you look at so many things around the day until you are asleep but the question is what ever we see what thoughts arises in our minds if we come across a nude pic and there is a sexual arousal within us then we are not controlling our thoughts and desires but if we are neutral to that pic and move on then we have conquered our thoughts and desires. i cannot say right or wrong but this little article may help you finding an answer.
