Nobody is interested in me and it sucks

Hi there all,

I'm a 24 year-old guy and I'm currently living a good life where I also go to socialize atleast twice a week. I always expected better from myself but seems like girls just don't feel interested in me.

It's when often I make them enjoy my company so much, I make them laugh and enjoy the whole interaction so much, and I also bond well with people around me. I make some really good friends too.

I just don't understand it. My cousins and relatives always told me when I was around 14, that I won't find a partner because I'm not cool and trendy, and seems like that's what's happening.

I also got rejected when I expressed my feelings to someone who was super-fond of me otherwise. Somehow, something seems to be so bad about me that nobody forms romantic feelings for me. Not even interest.

I just don't understand how things are like this when I'm not physically unattractive, often a social butterfly, nice and kind to everyone and passionate about so many of my hobbies.

@theLakeReturns

Having someone interested in you romantically is not just like making friends .... you sound like you are doing well friends and socially but have not found the person who will develop feelings for you.

sometimes it takes time for girls to realize to look at you that way... it is not about looks or being trendy... it is about connecting on a different level- something that just clicks... I do not think anyone can MAKE it happen ....

@theLakeReturns,

it might be that others "feel" that you are seeking love.
Just be self, and sooner or later love will find you.

This is a good point. Though I feel it shouldn't be this way because from what I have experienced, I am able to really be my authentic self in these places. So I hope I have never come across as desperate. And I always like to enjoy my time there genuinely so I hope it appears genuine too

You sound like such a great person! I think it’s great how you’re so confident about yourself, it’s a very good trait to have. It may take long but I’m sure that one day you’ll find the one for you! In the meantime why not try a dating app like *** so you can be sure that the other person wants to be in a romantic relationship? Hope you can find someone bro!

@theLakeReturns Hi, buddy! I can imagine how frustrating and confusing it must be for you to feel this way.

Remember that finding a partner isn't just about being cool or trendy; it's about being true to yourself. Your vibrant social life, passions, and kindness are appealing qualities that will resonate with the right person. Don't let negative opinions from the past define your self-worth. People's tastes and preferences vary widely, and it's impossible to be everyone's cup of tea.

Rejection is a natural part of dating, and it doesn't mean something is wrong with you. Stay open, patient, and genuine in your interactions. Take time for self-reflection and focus on personal growth, but never change who you are fundamentally to fit someone else's idea of attractiveness. The right person will appreciate you for who you are. Keep your heart open, and trust that love and connection will come your way at the right time. You deserve happiness and love.

You’re not alone. Other people experience this with dating well into their 20’s too. I’d talk to a close friend about it bc maybe they have insight since they know you well. There’s not anything wrong with you except meeting the wrong people for you. I think there’s someone for you and the more no’s the closer you are to a yes. I suggest being friends with women before you date them but don’t befriend them just because you want to date them. you could ask your friends to hook you up if they have friends who might be interested. As someone 37 been in relationships, I value friendship equally. I currently find friendship more fulfilling after so many heartbreaks.

You have made some really good points. I come from a background where I never got to talk to girls much, when I was younger. Nowadays, I am starting to be friends with many women around me, and equally enjoying their friendships as well. Thanks for everything you've said
