Husband cheating on me the entire time

I've been with my husband since I was 23 years old and I'm now 33 years old I got him cheating on me with the prostitute recently through WhatsApp messages and I was so stunned. Eventually it came out that he's been cheating on me the entire time you've been together He assumes (But says he can't remember) That the first time was around 1 month into us dating. It really makes it hard is he's always said things like I'm not allowed to talk to guys I can't talk to this guy. He'll get mad at me for hugging someone. He even told me I couldn't have a virtual male personal trainer who lived in another state. I thought it was kind of crazy because I'm like it's virtual What could possibly happen? He said Well maybe you'll travel there one day...

 I am sorry your spouse has issues. His behavior in not wanting you to even have a virtual trainer yet has strayed himself shows huge immaturity issue.  This is beyond the cheating for your relationship it is his inability to commit or feels you are a possession not a partner.    Even if he did therapy when he sees his issue he may be too embarrassed to face you with all he put you through.

Take your time to figure out where you go from here.   i hope you find peace and know this is his failure not yours.

@cheatedonwholetime Ohhh myyy, I'm so sorry to read what you have had to endure. Cheating has no room in marriages and you've discovered 10 years of hidden infidelity. I can't imagine the hurt and pain you feel. I'm so sorry. You don't deserve this. You and your husband has some heart to heart talking to do. You've got choices you're going to have to make. What you are able to endure is up to you. What can you forgive? Is your husband sorry? Has he apologized? People cheat for many reasons, but no matter the reason-- it is selfish. It seems his insecurities that you can't hug another or even have a virtual trainer all the way in another state is because he's been guilty of the thing he fears you will do. That's not fair to you. Marriage is sacred. I truly hope that you can find forgiveness and healing. Please take care of yourself.

@cheatedonwholetime I am so sorry, unfortunately I had been in your shoes very early in my current relationship (yes I stayed, but that'll be a different thread). In my personal experience as well as what I have seen in my friends' relationships, when a person acts like that, acting very jealous and insecure, and worried that they are or could be cheated on, is usually an indicator that that person may be hiding something themselves. It isn't always the case though. They want to try to turn the attention or any suspicion away from themselves and towards the other person. They may assume that because they engage in certain behaviors that everyone else must be doing the same thing they are. Again, this isn't always the case, it just seems to be a common denominator in situations like this.

An acquaintance of mine from work had recently found out that her husband, who has been married to her for 38 years, has been cheating on her on and off with different women their entire marriage. He was caught with a woman that she was very close friends with and who is also married. Unfortunately people who display these behaviors don't seem to grow out of them. As long as they think they can get away with something they will continue to do it.

Always remember you deserve much better. You deserve peace of mind. You deserve a calm, worry free home. You should never have to wonder if your partner is doing something behind your back. There is nothing that erodes at your sanity quite like a cheating partner.

@cheatedonwholetime

You deserve so much better than this.

To cheat on you from the off and then to continue it throughout your marriage.

What right does your husband think he has to tell you who to talk to or not?

What right does he have to tell you that you cannot have a trainer?

He's actively cheating on you, abusing your trust, disrespecting you, double standards.

You deserve respect.

Love.

Equality.

I hope you start to see your worth , you deserve to be a priority 💚

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I have a cheating ex as well, though I can only confirm one long-term and one short-term partner, I'm certain he cheated on me constantly throughout our relationship (6 years).

My main concern is for your safety. It sounds like he's been trying to isolate you, so I hope there's a person or a place you go to and feel secure. Whatever you decide, just remember that you deserve the happiness that you desire, and if there's something actively in the way of it, you can work to clear those obstacles.
