I can’t get out of this relationship

I’m 16 female and is currently in a long distance relationship with a 28 years old man. We started dating 2 years ago when I was 14. He first lied to me that he’s only 5 years older than me. But later on I found out he cheated on me on our second year and also found out his real age. At first I thought he was sweet and kind and someone I was always looking for. Now, after he cheated, lied, blamed me and gave me thousand of fake promises. I don’t think i can keep loving him while sacrificing my own needs. I’m so attached to him, even after everything I’m still so scared of him leaving. I’ll try anything and everything to make him happy. I’ll fulfil his sexual needs, let him criticise me, take the blame of I’m not matured enough. He always compare me to that girl who he cheated on me with. Even tho me and that girl were both 16. He said she’s more matured she needs to work hard like him while I’m born rich and don’t understand hardship.

His guilt made him leave that girl for me. But I don’t feel loved like before anymore. He told me clearly this relationship is not what he’s looking for. He’s tired of online relationship and our future together is not promising. I keep blaming myself for not being old enough and not living in the same country as him. But it’s not something I can change. Were now stuck in a situation where were both unhappy but it’s still together bc I want to. I want to know is there any way to work this out.

@clovmss

Sorry you were targeted and used by this person.

That is not a relationship that is an adult abusing a minor.   Block this person or better yet turn him in as a predator.   Adults who do this often have a mental health issue and hold you with guilt or blackmail if you shared photos etc.

He probably has other targets as well and is grooming them as well.

In most countries seducing people of age under 18 is criminally prosecuted. You may report this person to the police. He hurt you and can still hurt other people under legal age.

Plase immedietly block this man. It may be hard, but you need to get him out of your life. Do not fulfill any of his desires or think he'll give you those promises. He is the immature one.

Please, don't take me wrong. Here at 7 Cups we can talk to you and support you. But what this man did should not be seen in terms of a relationship, but in terms of criminal activity.

As the other person said: please, block him immediately. If that brings not more harm to you than you have already experienced, his actions should be reported to the police.

It can be appropriate for child abuse and/or cyber crime department. In case the perpetrator is living abroad, either Europol (within Europe) or Interpol can take care of it. This is not fun, the matter is gravely serious.

Dear, please, I'm begging you to listen to the advice you're getting here. This isn't a normal, romantic relationship, it's predatory.

Please talk to a trusted adult, like your parents, about this man. You need to ask for protection and report him. It’s very likely he's doing the same thing to other girls your age.

This isn't love, it's manipulation. You've done nothing wrong by not being "mature", you're just being your age, and that's exactly how you should be. I know it feels like love right now, but someday you'll look back and realize it wasn't, and you might regret it. I'm telling you this because I don't want to see you get hurt any more than you already have. I'm truly hoping you take the right steps to keep yourself safe. you're in LDR so it's still easy to cut contact with him, please don't continue this relationship for your own sake.
