I don't put hoomans on the perfectionism-pedestal, so no one's "perfect" for me but an ideal partner, is someone who mirrors me and vibes with me matching my frequency, plus complements my personality!

Emotional intelligence.
🔵 Is there a secret to what makes a relationship successful? What do you fell is that secret?
The secret for me, is to date your partner forever, the initial love and admiration you feel for them, and how you invest time in making them feel special and wanted. Gotta do that forever!

I don't have an opinion on this as I haven't tried a pet so far hehe!

Any day could be date day! 🥰

I'd probably pick Saturdays lol but other than that no specifics!

Agreed, hoomans are not perfect … BUT I will say what makes my Partner perfect for me …
My Partner doesn’t have an issue telling me where I belong LOL.
I had recently been compared to Gandalf from J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings novels.
🔵 What is the most important trait in your partner?
“Emotional intelligence. ” I would come up short. One of my older therapist stated that emotionally I have been stunted. Additionally I find emotions to be illogical which can be most confusing and frustrating.
But BUT!! I will agree in my Partner that and Honesty. I need to honesty (builds trust, I have trust issues) and I need them to understand me emotionally.

Communication for me I think. Being that I have issues with my emotions (or lack of) I rely on communication. Understanding that sometimes we say\hear things we don’t always like. But to understand that it is ok. How are we to understand or know anything if we not communicating.

I have grown up with Pets in my life. And
then didn’t have a Pet until recent (5 years).
For us, The Prime Minister (jokingly and lovingly referred to him) has brought
much positive in our lives.

As of late, family and friends seem to be monopolizing the weeks (Friday through Sunday) so it seems the Monday through Thursday ~ That being said, I would say Tuesday or Thursday seems better.

Numerically, I don’t have a preference but have known of people whom have a “thing” for numerology.

It really depends on personal preferences. Our relationship is like a circus act, juggling work and busy schedules. Adding a pet into the mix would be like adding another spinning plate, so we’re enjoying our pet free adventures for now

Tuesday or Wednesday. It's like a surprise burst of fun in the middle of the week

Some people may have an affinity for numerology, personally, I believe what truly counts is the effort, intention, and connection you cultivate. Numbers alone pale in comparison to the love and bond you share. That’s just my opinion.

You are stunning. Your man is seriously lucky to have someone as amazing as you. But seriously, how did you guys make it through all those years since middle school??? It's such a young age to start a relationship, and there are so many changes and challenges that come with growing up
May I just add, my parents met in high school and have been married 39 years. It's not every day you come across a love story like y'alls. Your response caught my attention because it's quite rare to hear about middle school love stories that have stood the test of time like yours. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I need from a partner (my last relationship ended last November but he didn’t move out until April 30th so it’s been a lot)
Trust and open and honest communication are some of the biggest things. Imo without those, what do you really have? And of course Love is needed.
I’m such an interesting mix of gentle (I cry when I’m happy, sad, stressed etc) and direct (I don’t mince words, I’m not passive aggressive, I prefer to address issues as they arise not let them fester). The other day I cried because I saw a whole bunch of bluebirds bathing and my Heart was happy and full. And today I woke up and hit the ground running on figuring out why allivet hadn’t fulfilled my cat’s inhaler prescription which he desperately needs and I was on the phone not backing down (not being rude I know the people who answer the phones aren’t responsible for things) and trying to get answers and then later trying to figure out another course of action with my amazing vet clinic given the first path wasn’t panning out.
I say all this not to ramble but because I’ve noticed I tend to find people who are more on one end of the spectrum of gentle or direct/firm and then I’m left filling in the gaps in a way that feels very uneven to me. And I’m not saying the people I’ve been with have been bad or anything, I usually am friends with exes (until we eventually drift over Time) but I feel like I’m realizing I need someone who is similar to me in that they have the capacity for both. They can cry from the joy of Nature but they can also make those tough phones calls and do the undesirable stuff to get stuff done when it’s needed.
Luckily right now I’m fully focusing on myself and doing all the healing I need to after the breakup. I’m really showing myself the Love I’ve always poured into others. It’s hard as someone who is a giver, provider, people pleaser to really accept that pouring Love into myself FIRST is NOT selfish. It’s necessary.
And yeah I could probably say more but I feel I’ve written a lot lol
