An insecurity one can have in romantic relationship is..
We all are insecure in our relationships due to one or other reasons. What is one insecurity you have in your romantic relationship? How one could minimize or deal with it?
Let's talk about it!
Funnily enough people mainly have insecurities over the way they look. I have a huge self esteem issue over my personality. It stems from my childhood, my parents had always made me feel low about myself and I was not allowed to develop a sense of identity and now I never feel adequate despite being an intelligent and loving person. Im constantly in fear that my partner will leave me for someone more fun or more relaxed despite the fact that I know I am not boring or unrelaxed just I never quite feel as good in comparison with other people .
@ASilentObserver being taken for granted/not appreciated. I bust my hump for my family and it's like no one notices what I do, but geez do they notice when I DON'T do things!

I truly feel for you. I have 3 adults living with me (2 grown children and one fiancé /roommate ).
He (the roommate ) also has a grown daughter who comes every weekend with her BF. I cook, clean, grocery shop, pay bills, take care of the dog.
There is no joy anymore. I feel taken advantage of, unappreciated, ridiculed, stuck. And, I know...I know, it is my fault. I have had many, many therapists tell me so.
I am so ready to give everyone up. I am in the market for an uninhabited island. A cheap one! 😜
Sorry this was not uplifting but want you to know you are not alone. Hugs!
@ASilentObserver an insecurity I have is my height . My boyfriend tells me that he loves how tall I am because it makes it easier to kiss me, but he also doesn't like that I'm taller than him because even though it is easier to kiss, we also have to tilt our heads a certain way to do so. This also builds onto an insecurity of not being good enough for him, but he reminds me that he loves me and he is really sweet so my insecurities fade away from time to time.

I'm always doubting if im good enough for her and if should even have her. Thinking she can always can have better and honestly i dont know how to deal with it. this insecurity ended my 3 year long relationship
Hi everyone. So I've been with my boyfriend for a year-and-a-half now and one of the bigger ongoing issues that we have is when I get upset. When I get upset over something (and sometimes its unnecessary for me to be upset) I just got very quiet and I shut down and usually I will move away from him. And he gets annoyed with me which is totally understandable. I feel like I can't tell him what's going on and I get scared and everything is jumbled up in my head and I don't know what to say. I'm just not sure what to do anymore.
One insecurity of mine is my body. I feel like my breasts are too small and I am unhappy with my weight. He tells me that he is happy with my breasts and he prefers curvy women, but I can't honestly can't understand how anyone could find my shape attractive. I worry that he feels like he is missing out on being with someone with a better body.
I am suspicious at whether I can love or be loved. So I tend to be ambivalent in relationships--when i'm with the person, I can't wait to get out of there but the second they are gone I feel the urge to reach out and tend to get anxious when I don't hear from them in a while.
I've come to understand this pattern a little better over the last couple years, and so I've stopped thinking that it is a sign of something horribly wrong with me, and see it now as just something to accept and work with as best I can.
@Waves53 That does sound difficult to go through. However, I'm glad you've realized this pattern to better manage things. :) Best of luck!
An insecurity I have in relationships is that I'm always afraid of screwing it up in some ways by not explaining myself or communicating how I feel well enough, I know it's weird probably but it's the thing that worries me the most
